If you have a thing for tropical scents, you’re going to love this. Tahiti is releasing 3 new shower creams this month: Magnolia & Shea Butter, Jasmin & Green Tea and Passion & Monoï.
It didn’t take me long to hit the showers with my personal favorite; the Magnolia & Shea Butter shower cream. I have a preference for soft, subtle scents and that one fits me perfectly. The creamy texture is less thick than I expected it to be for a cream. Perfect, because that way it’s easier to spread and it foams pretty quickly as well. It doesn’t take long before the entire bathroom is filled with a subtle sweet floral scent. After showering my skin feels really soft and hydrated.
Even afterwards the scent keeps on lingering on my skin, but it’s not –in your face– present. I feel like running to the travel shop and book me a flight to a tropical destination, but I reconsider as soon as I realize I haven’t even dried myself off yet. My environment quickly picks up on the scent if they come within a 1m radius and before I even know it, I get showered again.. with compliments. Mission accomplished!

De zomer lijkt nog lang niet in zicht, maar wie niet kan wachten om zich in tropische klimaten te wanen kan zich alvast tegoed doen aan de nieuwe douchecrèmes van Tahiti. Deze maand brengt het merk 3 nieuwe varianten uit; Magnolia & Sheaboter, Passievrucht & Monoï en Jasmijn & Groene Thee.
Ik ben meteen al de douche ingedoken met mijn favoriet; Geheim van Magnolia & Sheaboter. Ik heb het meer voor zachte, subtiele geuren en de andere 2 zijn net iets te pittig voor mij. De romige textuur is minder dik dan ik had verwacht voor een crème. Perfect, want dan smeert hij ook beter uit en hij schuimt ook lekker snel. Het duurt dan ook niet lang eer de badkamer gehuld is in een heerlijke geur van magnolia & shea. Na het douchen voelt mijn huid ontzettend zacht en gehydrateerd aan.
Er blijft ook een bloemige geur hangen die niet overheersend is. Ik krijg er zin van om spontaan naar de reiswinkel te rennen en mij de eerste vlucht naar een tropische bestemming te gaan boeken. Al snel laat ik die gedachte varen wanneer ik besef dat ik me daarvoor best eerst afdroog en wat aantrek. De geur laat ook mijn omgeving niet onberoerd. Al wie zich binnen een radius van 1m van mij komt zwicht vroeg of laat voor een snifje (het klinkt creepier dan het is) om me vervolgens te complimenteren. Missie geslaagd!
