Trend: Snake Preview

It’s been a while since I’ve posted another trend article, but I’m glad to announce this highly popular section is back in business! First up is the sssnakeskin trend!

Forget leopard, tiger or zebra prints, this is the season of the snake! What started out with simple references through snakeskin shoes and handbags, has now grown out to be a snake from head-to-toe trend. Burburry kicked it off last season with a snakeskin coat, soon to be followed by Chloé, Prada, Missoni, Gucci and many others.

Now how does one wear this trend?
An essential ingredient here is confidence. Not everyone gets away with this trend and the line to look ‘cheap’ can be crossed easily. Keep in mind that the snakeskin item is a statement piece on it’s own, so keep the rest of your outfit basic, elegant and feminine by using shades like black or beige. You can also play with different kind of fabrics. A leather or lacquer snakeskin piece will look more fierce than a light chiffon printed dress or blouse, so it really depends on how far you’re willing to take it.
