The last few weeks have been rough on this poor blogger’s mental sanity. Apart from having to study almost 24/7, I also had to face a blogger’s worst fear: being cut off from the outside world and not being able to blog because of the lack of internet connection. That’s right, iiieek! As I had worked, err struggled myself halfway through my exams, I thought I’d buy myself a gift, just to keep me motivated. And it turned out to be quite the great motivation-investment!
It just happened to be that the Steve Madden store had just opened its doors in Ghent and there was that one particular pair of shoes I’ve had my eyes on for a while. Quite the simple model, but I’ve been searching for a decent quality glamorous shoe with a reasonable price tag like that for a long time, so I just had to get it. The 20% discount from Glam*It also helped.. a lot. Thanks GI!
Anyway, (at least) try to ignore my mess on the background and focus on my newest purchase; a pair of black suede Steve Madden platform heels! Initially I wanted to go for the electric blue ones, but IRL they looked more purple than blue, so I decided to go for the ever-classy black version instead. The second obstacle was choosing between this one and the stiletto version, but in the end I think I did well on choosing this one, since you can wear it during the daytime as well. You’ll be seeing them a lot in my upcoming outfit posts, so stay tuned!

DEFINITELY the right choice to go for this slightly chunkier heel, more timeless and classy. I’m not a stiletto fan myself, these look gorgeous and classy!

Uhu thought so. I just considered them for a moment bc I don’t own a pair of stiletto’s yet, but then I thought about the ridiculous state of the Belgian pavements (especially those in Ghent) and I wisely chose this version to avoid any injuries :3
