Event Recap: What’s been going on…

I’ve been so busy the past few weeks, it’s crazy! I wanted to show you some sneak peek pics of what I’ve been up to (besides the studying) and what you can expect on the blog in the near future.

MAC MUA Terry Barber visited our little country a couple of months back to give us a preview on the fall/winter make-up trends. He gave a couple of bloggers a private how-to session while demonstrating the look he used for the A.F. Vandevorst show. I’ll do a full post on this real soon!

All my beauty stuff no longer seemed to fit in my bathroom closet anymore, so I bought myself a brandnew IKEA Malm closet! Love the mirror on top and the little shelves that make organizing all of it so much easier. Now all I have to do is actually use everything more. :’)

My ladies Sabina, Peti, Cindy, Annebeth, Kim and Kim sitting frontrow at the River Island Xmas ’11 show hosted by Oona. As you might’ve read on Twitter I made a little video on this, so please look forward to it!

As you might already know, Bobbi Brown is finally coming to Belgium! I was invited to their press day to learn what BB is all about and I absolutely can’t wait ’til the store opens! I’m going to do a post on the make-up tips I’ve learned during the press presentation, so stay tuned!

Ici Paris XL also hosted a press day to put their exclusitivities in the spotlight. You can expect reviews of some of the brands that caught my eye, including the lovely Givenchy Xmas collection (pic above).

Quick stop in Brussels for the Showroom Belgium press lunch hosted by FFI where young designers gave us a little preview of the collections they’re going to show in Paris as of Sept 30th. Be sure to go and have a look at the amazing collections of Black Balloon, Filles à Papa, WOLF by Sofie Claes, The Cookie Therapy and many others from 10h – 7h at 78, rue Amelot, Paris.

The Miele Catwalk show was one of the highlights of the last couple of weeks. A lot of my favorite Belgian designers showed their a/w collections in Tour & Taxis in Brussels, including all-time favorite Essentiel. I made a video on this one as well, can’t wait to show it to you!

Even LVMH Perfumes & Cosmetics wasn’t StyleLab-free! I paid them a visit to discover the new Dior Forever foundation, of which Natalie Portman is the new face. I love Natalie, doesn’t she look pretty? I received a foundation to try out and I’ll post a review on this asap! The MUA also gave me a full ‘Blue Tie’ make-up look. All glammed up I left for the next event:

I also paid a visit to Monar in Antwerp to celebrate their webshop launch. From now on you’ll be able to shop brands like Alberto Fermani, Ugg Australia, Chie Mihara, Sam Edelman etc directly from your chair. Orders are delivered within 24 hours and can be returned without any extra costs. Visit www.monar.be.

Immi and I met Diane Pernet from A Shaded View On Fashion Film! Such an honor! We even guided her to her hotel 🙂

After the Monar event I had a sushi date at Zao Wang Antwerp with my bloggin’ besties Lisha, Foxy & Katia, Immi, Kim & Kim. The sushi was the best I ever had, they’ll definitely have to serve me more of these in the future. YUM!
