Did you know you can tell more about a person’s age by looking at their hands? It’s important not to skip your hands when doing your skin care routine in order to keep them soft, nice & smooth.

I like to use a thick hand cream right before bed time and I often carry a lighter version around in my bag for during the day. When I was in New York I was drawn to this unique peach shaped hand cream from the Korean brand Tony Moly. Although from some angles it looks rather funny, I think it’s pretty cute and fun for a hand cream. The matte container even feels velvety soft, just like an actual peach. The inscriptions on the bottom are all in Hangul (Korean alphabet), but this usually comes in a plastic box with English translations if you buy this in the US.

When you screw off the top, you’ll find another lid which serves as a protection to keep your hand cream from getting all over the place and it keeps bacteria from spreading. Once you remove the white lid, the room gets filled with a sweet peachy scent, which reminds me of the Danone Petit Gervais yoghurt I used to love when I was a kid. If you’re sensitive to fragrances this might come off a little too strong,  but I like it.

The cream itself is slightly pink and has a thick texture that gets absorbed quickly into the skin, which kind of makes me want to slather on some more every time. Once fully absorbed, my skin feels soft, velvety and moisturized. I wouldn’t carry this around in my bag as it’s quite bulky and thick, plus it doesn’t come with a spatula so I like to wash my hands before I go in, but nevertheless it’s a great addition to my night stand skincare and I’ve been enjoying every minute of applying this hand cream from Korea.

I can’t really comment on the anti-aging aspect, but I’m sure any good hand cream will do in order to keep your hands looking youthful in the long run.

Overall I’ve been really happy with this purchase, although the price is a bit high compared to what you’d pay when you’d purchase this in Korea ($ 5,40). Nevertheless, this certainly helped me get more interested in trying more stuff from this brand.

The Tony Moly peach hand cream (30g) is available for $ 10 at Urban Outfitters (US).

Do you use hand creams? Have you used anything from this brand?

So cute! Although I did have to do a double take, lol, at first it looked like something other than a peach to me 😉 The smell sounds really lovely.
