The Snow Fairy Effect

Some hate it, others really love it, but one thing’s for sure, the candylicous Snow Fairy scent is one of the most famous Lush scents. Reason enough for me to go wild during Christmas time and stock up on some Snow Fairy-scented goods I haven’t tried yet.

Lush Candy Mountain bubble bar € 4,75 / £ 2.50 / $ 8

This bubble bar is made up of a bright pink and white swirl and has pink dots. Like all of the products in this post, it makes your bath smell bright and bubbly thanks to the famous Snow Fairy fragrance. You use it by holding it onto the running tap, which creates a pink bubble bath. Because I am quite cheap when it comes to Lush products, and especially limited editions, I managed to get 4 uses out of this product. *patting myself on the back*

Lush Magic Wand bubble bar € 10 / £ 5.25 / $ 10

I wanted to try this for the longest time. It looks so much fun! You basically swirl it around in the bath tub, like a magic wand that transforms your bath into bubbly snow fairy goodness. Oh, I’m such a big child. Again, you can use it several times if you don’t get too carried away. Just a tip though: When choosing your Magic Wand, make sure you pick one with a sturdy stick, otherwise it will all fall apart during the first use.

stylelab beauty blog lush the snow fairy effect sparkle massage bar

Lush Snow Fairy sparkle massage bar € 9 / £ 5 / $ 8

This little angel is filled with organic shea, murumuru and cupuacu butters. Not only does this moisturize the skin, but it also leaves a trail of lustre on the skin, perfect for the Holidays! The lustre is contained in its core, so you don’t get the same effect every time you use it. You might try to crush or break it in order to get to the lustre on the first use. If you’re looking for something that gets absorbed fast, this ain’t it. You’ll have to wait a while to let it sink in, especially if you don’t want any pink marks on your clothes. Note: Massage bars are created to soften when they come in contact with body heat. This can get quite messy when you leave them in the open, so make sure to store them somewhere dry and cool.

stylelab beauty blog lush the snow fairy effect melting marshmallow

Lush Mmm Melting Marshmallow Moment luxury bath melt € 6 / £ 4 / $ 8

This one looks rather boring, but since I love both the scent and marshmallows, I had to bring it too. Unlike the bath bombs and bubble bars, the bath melt melts rather slowly, so again I made good use out of it by using it multiple times. The texture feels somewhere in between a scrub and a soap. Dunno if you’re supposed to, but I just used it to give my body a scrub and it felt great. The combination of the exfoliating crumbs and buttery texture made my skin feel soft, but it’s a shame it didn’t smell like Snow Fairy afterwards. Maybe I should’ve used more..

*You might have noticed that the products shown here are from a previous Christmas collection. There are some small changes in appearance this year, but the formula and result stays the same. As you’re reading this I’m currently in London probably picking up some new things to try. After all, what is Christmas without a little bit of Lush?

Which LUSH products would you recommend me buy or would you like me to review?

Major Snow Fairy fan hierzo! Ik heb nu de Magic Wand, maar ik wil de gewone douchegel ook nog in huis halen, die kan niet ontbreken.
