I love the service at Parfuma, but since beauty shopping online is something totally different, I decided to take this webshop to the test and share my experiences with you guys. To start with, the design of the webshop looks clean which makes it easy to navigate. You can easily search for a particular product by using the search function, or browse using the menu, which categorises the products by brand or product type.
Because I’ve been eyeing a lipstick from Tom Ford for months now, and since Parfuma is one of the very few stores in Belgium that carry them, I figured this would be the perfect opportunity to add one to my collection. After centuries of doubt and searching for swatches on several beauty blogs, I finally decided on Pink Dusk, a neutral everyday pink shade. Thank god for beauty blogs, otherwhise I’d still be in doubt! And I’m especially happy I did check them, because the image on Parfuma is rather small and the shade wasn’t quite the same IRL. Maybe there’s some room for improvement here for Parfuma. I also got a Gentle Cuticle Stick by KOH since I’m planning on taking better care of my nails.
When checking the shopping bag, you can immediately calculate your shipping costs, so you don’t have to deal with unfortunate surprises later on. Because I live in Belgium and my order was over 50 €, I was free from any shipping charges. Whiii!
Paying is fairly easy thanks to the available payment methods. Pretty secure too; for Visa I had to use one of those tiny machines you can get at your bank to verify my card. One method that seems to be lacking and that many online shoppers use is PayPal.
I placed my order on a Wednesday around 19-20h and on Friday there it was, my beloved Parfuma package! Never expected to get it before the weekend, so I was pretty enthousiastic about the fast service. My package contained the products I ordered in a perfect state, the bill, a ‘thank you’ note, a flyer of the store to celebrate their 40th birthday, the 3 samples of La Mer I asked for and some additional product info.

I love my new Tom Ford lip color! The 07 Pink Dusk shade is perfect for everyday use and it’s very pigmentated and not too dry, just the way I like it! Ain’t it pretty? 😉
Simple KOH cuticle with soft tip that comes in a nice black bag. I haven’t used it yet so I can’t share my experiences on this one.
