Metallic Nails for the Holidays

Looking for some extra bling on your nails during the holidays? Elegant Touch released a limited edition metallic nails range that blew my mind!

Normally I’m not that much of a DIY fake nails kinda girl, but when I received these golden beauties I knew they would end up on my fingernails one way or another! This kind of ‘minx’ shine effect can only be reached by using fake nails, so there really are no other options that come this cheap. I received the ‘molten gold’ shade, which also happens to be my favorite! Lucky! 🙂

The package contains 24 nails in 10 sizes, glue and a little nailfile. Because my nails have a long shape on their own, I do find the ‘short version’ a bit too short for me. I had to cut mine as short as possible and on my other hand I still see my nails peeping from unter the fake ones. But luckily nothing too obvious.

The nails are really easy to attach and they stay a while if you add enough glue which you have to spread over the entire nail, then break off the numbered tip and file in the shape you like. Of course these won’t stay as long as when you would get your nails done at the salon, but it’ll definitely do the trick for the holidays.

The result is a hand full of awesome bling! I’d recommend wearing an accessory like this when you’re wearing a LBD. It will immediately spice up the outfit.

Here’s the complete range: molten gold, molten silver, tip-tease and giraffe.

The limited editon metallic nails are now available at your local Di for €10,45.

Whoa, this is cool! How long do they stay put? Also, how do you remove them?

I managed to keep them for 6 days and then one of the thumb nails came off, but that’s easily fixed. The packaging says they can be removed using aceton nail polish remover but I still have to put that to the test. They’re just so cool, I don’t want to take them off! 🙂

    Nice!!

I bought the golden foil effect varnish from Barry M. It’s still nail polish, but looks almost like foil 🙂 (not really a fan of fake nails either).

There are nail polish removers that are specifically designed to remove fake nails. Can’t remember the brand but Sephora sells them.
