As a loyal follower of Zoella’s beauty channel on YouTube, I was more than excited to learn that she would launch her own line of beauty products at Superdrug.

If you’re an avid YouTube watcher like me, chances are you’ve heard of Boscia (pronounced bo-sha, short for ‘botanical science’). Two years ago every beauty youtube was talking about the 100% preservative-free brand and how amazing their products were. The originally Japanese but US based brand is part of the Fancl corporation (one of the biggest cosmetics producers in Japan) who introduced the brand to the U.S. back in 2002. The Fancl Mild Cleansing Oil has been one of the top-selling cleansing products in Japan for years now, which made me curious about its counterpart from Boscia; the Boscia MakeUp-Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil. Flashback to Spring 2015. Lisha and I are in Tokyo when I suggest to meet up with my host sister Eri in Shin-Okubo, Tokyo’s Korea Town. I wasn’t planning on traveling 5,871 miles and pass up on an opportunity to -finally- check out some Korean products IRL you see. Although we didn’t find any roadshops, it did feel like we hit the jackpot when entering Skin Garden at K-plaza 2, a 2-storey high multibrand store which had some type of shop-in-shop Nature Republic. Although we’ve been spoiled when it comes to new beauty launches in Belgium in the past couple of years, there are still quite a few luxury brands I’m dying to welcome. One of them is US-based Hourglass Cosmetics. This relatively young niche luxury brand launched in 2004, but it wasn’t until 2013 when it hit my radar because of the tidal waves it caused in the beauty industry. The reason for that was without a doubt the launch of the Ambient Lighting Powders: 6 soft-focus finishing powders that utilize Photoluminescent Technology to filter out harsh light and refine the appearance of the complexion. Despite not being a diehard fan of powders, I must admit I was intrigued by the get-go and spent hours on the Sephora site trying to figure out which one would be the best fit. After a while more reviews started to appear and it became clear the powders were pretty fragile so in the end I didn’t want to take the risk by ordering them overseas and I waited.. View Post

Looking for a hair care range that makes your hair feel luxurious at an affordable price? Now that is exactly what the Matrix Total Results Moisture Me Rich line did for my hair this Summer. Although the packaging intrigued me, I didn’t expect much from it since Matrix hasn’t really managed to convince me in the past. This line however shed a different light on the brand. View Post
