Micellar water is probably the most important product in the lazy girl’s routine. It melts your makeup of right away without too much hassle. I love a good micellar water which is why I’m always checking in what’s new to try. The Nuxe Gentle Pureness Micellar Cleansing Water with 3 Roses and Green Tea is nothing new though. In fact, it might even be discontinued as I can’t seem to find any online but the one with rose petals. Still, I think this one is unique enough to take a closer look at.
Yes it has a soft rose scent. A big red flag for sensitive skin types, or so I thought, but the formula was surprisingly very gentle on the skin. The texture was a lot thicker than that of any other micellar water I had tried. It was somewhere in between water and an essence. If you don’t know the texture of an essence: it’s kind of a thick water that feels rather sticky. This made the micellar water feel moisturizing rather than stripping. I would say it is indeed suitable for sensitive skin.
As far as removing makeup goes, I wouldn’t say it’s better than the Bioderma or my drugstore favourite from Garnier, but it gets the job done without irritating my skin. Given the small size and expensive price, I wouldn’t use this as my daily cleanser, but rather as a travel-friendly option for when my skin looks rather stressed from traveling (airplane air = ugh). Next time I hope to try the renewed Rose petal one and see how they compare.
