Rise and shine sleepyheads! I’m currently on the road to The Blog Works seminar. In the meantime, why don’t you enjoy this small update on what’s hot in fashion- & beauty land?

Xmas reading material: Tiany Kirilove

Belgium’s leading fashionista Tiany Kirilove is spreading some more of her love through her first book, aptly named: Tiany Kirilove! The book is a collection of personal stories, practical tips, musthaves, styling advice and hot shopping places, tailored to the life of a busy woman and therefore the perfect gift for under the christmas tree!

You can order it online for € 22,50 or visit your nearest bookstore.

H&M lands Marni as their next designer collaboration

The Italian galore continues as H&M chose Marni as the next designer brand to release a mutual collection with. Smart move, as the Versace release is slowly fading to the background. The collection will feature both men- & womenswear and will be available this Spring from March 8, in around 260 stores worldwide and online.

“For women, the colours are vivid and the prints are bold, be they African inspired or simpler colour blocks. The silhouettes are all Marni staples, with full pleated skirts, dresses, cropped trousers and jacquard knit, and fabrics range from silk to crisp cotton poplin. To finish the complete look the collection also includes jewellery, shoes, bags and scarves.”

Marni wouldn’t be Marni if they hadn’t used a lot of their signature prints and color combinations. I didn’t expect anything less from this collaboration and I can’t wait to see the end result! For some who are looking to scoop up some more Versace, there are still some pieces left in the stores. Better hurry!

Baobab opens flagship store in Brussels

I recently discovered Baobab during the press days at Pure and I’ll admit: I’m a fan. Baobab is a company that originated in Tanzania, but now produces in Belgium. It brings us handmade luxurious scented candles with the most delicious scents that each tell a different story. The Baobab collection includes a wide choice of decorated candles presented in transparent and colored glass vases or in stainless steel holders. I’m a big fan of scented candles, especially when they’re also easy on the eye!

Baobab recently opened their first flagship store in Brussels, more specifically near the Onze-Lieve-Vrouw-ter-Zavelkerk in the historical Zavelquarter, amongst the artisanal chocolate and antique shops. If you’re looking for some fabulous Xmas presents, I recommend you to drop by!

Abercrombie & Fitch BXL is coming (at last)!

Remember A&F? A little over a year ago I blogged about their plans to open up a store in Belgium and now that moment is finally here! Are you ready to elbow your way to the front of the line to get a close look at the hot models? Don’t tell me you’re just going for the clothes, you ain’t fooling anybody! 😉 Mark December 8th in your agenda!

Deborah Lippmann, soon on your nails!

Deborah who? Don’t worry if the name doesn’t immediately ring a bell. This brand has yet to take it’s place in the Belgian market, but overseas many beauty lovers are going wild over this brand. Deborah Lippmann is the go-to manicurist of many high end fashion magazines and designers. Think Vogue, Allure, Vanity Fair, Versace, Balenciaga and Zac Posen. Impressive portfolio to say the least.

If you fancy a celebrity nail polish, then you’re in for a pretty new journey because Senteurs d’Ailleurs will exclusively distribute the Deborah Lippmann collection starting in December!

Price per polish: € 20,95

Bobbi Brown opening date!

As if 2 store openings weren’t enough.. Prepare your wishlists because Bobbi Brown is officially open on December 16th! The store is located in the Dansaert quarter, right next to Cosmeticary.

    Hey there,

I’m very excited to find your blog! It’s nice to have a fashion/beauty blog in English in Belgium! I’m a fan of Bobbi Brown, so I’m very excited about the new shop in Brussels (have been waiting on the edge of my seat since November, because rumor had it the shop would be open then). Do you know if there’s any launch event for the grand opening?

    Sunny 🙂

First of all, thank you so much for your sweet comments 🙂
The press event for the launch was about 2 months ago but I haven’t heard anything about an opening event. You can follow everything on their FB page “Bobbi Brown België” (it’s in Dutch though).

PS: I put a link of this post to my blog, just to have a source of information when I write about Bobbi Brown opening shop in Brussels. I hope it’s OK (if not please let me know, and I’ll take it down ASAP)!
