Monthly Faves: March 2015

Welcome to this month’s faves! This is by far one of my favourite posts to do. What can possibly be better than talking about the things you love, right? This monthly faves round-up is a rather small one, as I haven’t been trying out a lot of new things because I was preparing my leave for Japan. I tried to stick to my normal routine and finish a couple of older products first before diving into the new & unknown this month, but the products I am going to show you today are absolutely amazing.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette ($ 58 Sephora, £ 56 Space NK)

This palette is one of the prettiest palettes I own and worth every penny (cent?).  The palette is a trio of highly pigmented marbled blushes that come in pretty rose gold packaging. The blushes are smaller than if you were to buy them separately, but I like to have options and for me they’re just right in size. I’ll do a full review on this soon with swathes and everything, but in the meantime someone bring this brand to Belgium please!

Catrice Purism Shimmer Highlighter from the LE Nude Purism collection (€ 4,39 Kruidvat)

I already reviewed this pretty highlighter earlier this month and I haven’t been able to put it down since I got it. It’s smooth, pigmented and gives the face a nice glow without making it look glittery. One of the prettiest highlighters I’ve ever seen at the drugstore.

Catrice Purism Gentle Lip Colour in Delicate Rosewood (€ 4,59 Kruidvat)

Even though I think these are a little expensive for a budget brand and I was a bit hesitant to put these lipsticks in my monthly faves, I really do have been enjoying them all month. Especially Delicate Rosewood, a subtle pinky-red hue with little pigmentation (it’s meant to be this way) to give your lips a bitten look. It’s a nice lip colour for everyday wear. Check out the swatches here.

stylelab-beauty-blog-March-favourites-And-Other-Stories Shinjuku Bloom body mist

& Other Stories Shinjuku Bloom Body Mist (€ 15, $20, £ 12 &OS)

This fast-drying body mist has a delicate perfume of blooming cherry blossoms, which always helped me think about my time in Japan. It’s one of my favourite scents from & Other Stories and one of my favourite scents to wear during Spring. It also has blood orange, orange blossoms, vanilla and sandalwood. You get a decent amount of product that will last you a very long time. I’ve worn this plenty of times and I’m not exactly holding myself back when spraying, yet it looks like I’ve hardly used it at all. I love this so much I got the hand cream, body scrub and soufflé too.

stylelab-beauty-blog-March-favourites-Benefit-Cheeky-Sweet-Spot-Dandelion-blush

Benefit Dandelion Blush from the LE Cheeky Sweet Spot blush palette (€ 33,20 Inno, Douglas, $ 28 Sephora)

The Benefit Cheeky Sweet Spot blush palette has been in my favourites for 3 months now and for good reason. The shade range is very versatile and there’s a matching shade for every season. For Spring I’ve been loving the Dandelion blush, a true pink shade that gives the face a healthy pop of colour. It has a little shimmer, yet looks very natural on the skin. Just like the other items in this palette, you can get a bigger version of the blush in a boxed version. For now I won’t be needing to purchase that because due to the pigmented formula it looks like I’ll be enjoying this blush for a while. The only downside is that the packaging is too bulky to be travel friendly.

Well, this was a short yet pretty balanced high-end & budget monthly faves, don’t you think?

What were your favourites this month?
