Dove Go Fresh Nutrium Moisture Plum & Sakura Blossom

We kick off the week with a Sakura – or otherwise known as Japanese Cherry Blossom – scented product from Dove. It’s been a while since I last tried a product from Dove, let alone a product from the Go Fresh range. My mum picked this Dove Go Fresh Nourishing Shower Gel with Plum and Sakura Blossom up for me when we were shopping at Kruidvat when they were having a sale a while ago. Show me the word ‘Sakura’ and I’m sold. She knows me so well.

First of all I’d like to point out how ridiculously huge this bottle is (500 ml)! Definitely a plus if you’re looking for something to share with the family but if this wasn’t for sale, I probably would’ve gone for the smaller version (250 ml). I like to switch up my routine every once and awhile and 500 ml bottles can just be a little too much. The other reason I went with it for once is because Dove just makes really good body products.

The Go Fresh range was designed to help you kickstart your day thanks to the refreshing and replenishing fragrances that come in a nourishing formula to rebalance the skin and mind. It was later on enriched with the unique NutriumMoisture™, to leave the skin more nourished during and after showering.

Nourishment is one of Dove’s best qualities, and again this product didn’t let me down in that department. My skin didn’t feel dry or flakey, instead it felt smooth and soft after showering.

Unexpectedly my main concern with this product is its scent. Now scent is really personal, but for me the fragrance of plum is too overpowering I can hardly notice any Sakura in there, which is the main reason I got this.

I don’t hate it but I’m not particularly looking forward to taking a bath with this product either. I grab it whenever I’m too lazy to dig through my stuff, but if it wasn’t there I wouldn’t miss it. But because I did love how it felt, I might go back in the future and check out the other scents – and most likely – give them a whiff before I purchase them.
