L’ Oréal Play Ball: Review + Giveaway!

I apologize for being MIA due to exams, but I’ll try to make it up to you.. by doing another giveaway! I teamed up with L’Oréal Professionnel to hand out 2 new additions of the Play Ball styling range!

The Play Ball range is pretty wide, going from sprays to mousses in various levels of fixation; offering all hair types just the thing they need to spice up that hairdo. The products are designed to use on their own or complement eachother, creating enough abilities to style your hair just the way you want it. The packaging has a nice colorful design to perk up any bathroom and the contents have the most lovely fruity scents like lime, raspberry or agrum. I’ve been given the opportunity to try out two of the products; the SuperSize Mousse and the Working Gum.

Supersize mousse

The SuperSize Mousse is designed to give your hair XXL volume, while adding a nice touch of agrum scent to it.
How to use: Let the mousse swell in the palm of your hand and apply throughout clean, towel-dried hair. Dry using a hairdryer, for added volume blast-dry into the roots.

My hair pretty much looks like a lion’s manes when I get out of bed, so adding extra volume is about the last thing I want. With this product however, I could easily tame those manes without losing the voluminous effect. You can style it just the way you want it to, and that’s just how I like it. The roots blast-dry method is something I’d use if you have rather sleek hair and want to give it an uplift. If you have wild hair on your own, this method might just be a little too much in the sense that it would look unnatural. If you want to create big drama hair, this is the thing for you.

Working gum

The Working Gum is my favorite product of the two. I’ve never used any hairwax before, mainly because I was afraid you’d see white marks or that my hair would look greasy. Luckily, the Working Gum caused none of the issues above. Quite on the contrary, you only need a teeny tiny amount of gum-wax to create a solid hairstyle that will last for hours. Because of this, no marks are to be seen and my hair looks flawless. It’s almost as if I used hairspray instead. I love the packaging as well, part of the pot is flexible, making the ball fun to squeeze. I’m all about the styling being a fun thing, not a chore. 😉

How to use: Warm a small amount of product in the palm of your hands and sculpt your look as you wish. Create and recreate your look for a style that is anything but stiff.
