Katy Perry is the new face of Thomas Sabo

As of January, Katy Perry will be the new face of German jewelry brand Thomas Sabo and also the first ambassador in the company’s 27-year history.

The popstar became famous for her eccentric, funky and colorful sense of style, which makes her a perfect spokesperson for Thomas Sabo. The brand is therefore thrilled to have the pop sensation as their ambassador: “Katy is a match made in heaven for us. In terms of her personality and charisma, she is the absolutely perfect complement to our brand so much so that we just couldn’t imagine a better partner.” Katy couldn’t agree more: “I’m excited to make things pop for Thomas Sabo. I’m such a fan of all things cute and collectible. I like the Charm Club the best because I get to make it my own.”

As part of her endorsement the pop star can only wear pieces from the Sabo Collection during public appearances and she will make a special appearance at the ‘Inhorgenta’ trade show in Munich later in 2011. Also part of the deal is a sponsorship by Thomas Sabo for Katy’s “California Dreams World Tour.”

The collaboration kicks off with Katy starring in the advertisement campaign of the spring/summer 2011 “Pop Now” collection, which is inspired by pop art, pop music, disco, neon and Andy Warhol.
