Karl Lagerfeld claims to be drinking nothing else but Diet Coke. His obsession for the drink led him right to his design table to draw another range of 3 new, exclusive varieties of the Diet Coke or Coca-Cola Light bottle.
For the design of the bottle, Karl applied the light, playful elements of his renowned style -clean lines, a black/white contrast and colorful details- which resulted in a modern and fun collection. All three designs have the ever-recognizable Karl silhouette on them. He drew inspiration from the 3 new Coca-Cola Light heroines: Bernadette (Heidi Mount), Eleanor (Coco Rocha) and Irene (Jeneil Williams), who will be starring in the advertising campaigns.
The first design is inpired by Bernadette. This bottle is both romantic and modern with its chic dot pattern in metal gray contrasting with the white background. The second bottle show the fashionable style of Eleanor: a powerful pink strip that’s wound around the bottle. The third design indicates the rockchick Irene with its more dramatic look thanks to the nap pattern.
I absolutely love the collectors box and there’s not a hair on my head that thinks about drinking one of the bottles! They’ll look so pretty on my bookstand. I already had to save them from my dad, who thinks he earned one for accepting them when the courier came by. Don’t worry my precious, I’ll keep you safe!
The ‘Coca-Cola Light limited edition collection by Karl Lagerfeld’ – bottles will be available in a collectors box -also designed by herr Karl himself- or as seperate bottles. The collection will be available in Inno as of May 28th, at Kreatos as of June and at Kinepolis during Ladies@TheMovies. What do you think of the collection? Will you get them when they come out?
