Ici Paris XL Blogging Session #2

Earlier this month Ici Paris XL called the bloggers in for a second edition of the Ici Paris Blogging Sessions. During this edition, Ici Paris XL proudly presented us their first very own skin care line accompanied by some bites and drinks.

Ici Paris XL is a beauty store that focusses on offering the best advice to clients; whether they have trouble picking the right products, they want to learn how to take care of their skin or want to talk about their needs in skin care. Thanks to this expertise, it is no surprise they hold the leading position in the sales of skin care products. For Ici Paris XL, launching their own skin care line was a logical next step.

They really wanted to go “back to basics”, to the essentials with this skin care line. And those basics start with the packaging. The design is pretty simple; all white boxes with the Ici Paris XL logo, and transparent containers with the product itself in innocent colors like white for cremes and pink, blue and yellow for the transparent liquids.

The range consists of 16 references, covering all skin types and all stages of the daily skin care routine; from cleansing to hydrating to taking care of the skin (face and hands). The ingredients have been composed according to the demands of the current market; meaning that they’re based on natural ingrediënts and that they don’t contain mineral oils, parabens and allergens.

Because of the fact that they stick to the basic essentials, it is possible to offer their products to all clients, no matter what their budget is. Each and every product is available for less than 20 euros.

Because their range has so many references, they manage to suit the beauty needs of a lot of people, if not everyone. Whether you’re skin suffers from chronical fluid deficiency or the first wrinkles that are popping up, this skin care line covers all of those needs.

So why do they offer their own range of products? Isn’t that competing with the other brands they are selling (Dior, Lancôme, Shiseido etc)? Not at all. Their main goal is to reach clients who need advice on skin care by offering them easy and attractive products. They try to reach out to those who don’t know their skin type or those who are using the wrong products or the wrong skin care routine. They also try to reach out to those who buy their perfume at Ici Paris XL, but their skin care products at the supermarket. Those clients will now be able to get everything they need to take good care of the skin under one roof, and for a good price.

But do these products fulfill the expectations? We’ve been able to test some of the products during the session, and I have quite a good first impression. The scent is nice and soft and the texture is quite pleasant as well. Of course, I’ll have to test some of those products thoroughly to know if they actually result in a healthier and better looking skin. I’ll be reviewing them soon, so stay tuned!

Care not to wait that long? No problem, all of the products are now available in all Ici Paris XL stores!

Ik vraag me af of producten voor zo’n lage prijs even goed zullen werken als bv Shisheido of Kiehls. Maar zal het moeten proberen om het te weten zeker. 😉
