Fashion | Elin Kling for Marciano

There’s no way around it these days, blogger collaborations are everywhere. Perhaps the most exciting thing a blogger ‘s ever going to do is designing your own clothing range. The latest blogger collab that caught my eye is the one from one of my favorite minimalistic style bloggers; Swedish born blogger, model and magazine editor Elin Kling.

Expressing her delight on her blog, Kling said: ‘I’m really happy how it turned out… I never worked so hard in my life, as on this project. The plan was for me to design 18 pieces, but I couldn’t stop and the collection ended up with a total of 33 pieces.’

When the news broke that Elin was going to do a collection with Marciano by Guess, I wasn’t too sure how that would work out. But now that I’ve seen the looks, I’m totally smitten. Elin managed to give the Marciano brand a twist and deliver a collection that is 100% her own style. The capsule collection  can only be described as mujer meets matador, featuring lots of leather and an effortless chic that incorporates dramatic Spanish flair.  “Most of the inspiration was from the Guess archives,” she explains. “I thought it would be fun because they are turning 30 years to actually use the history. So I found these iconic pieces like the bustier, and then did everything how I would wear it in 2012.”

Below are some of my favorite looks:
