Dove DermaSpa Goodness & Summer Revived

Hydrating your skin shouldn’t feel like a chore, the people over at Dove thought, which is why they came up with a new range of spa-inspired body care to try at home.

Dove has developed 4 luxurious and effective collections of body care for different skin types, beauty benefits and pamper needs: Goodness (offers hydration based on omega-oil and cell-moisturizers), Uplifted+ (restores elasticity & firmness of the skin), Youthful Vitality (restores firmness for mature skin) and Summer Revived (self tanning). I got to try 2 of their products; the Goodness³ Silky Body Oil and the Summer Revived Bodylotion. Read on for my findings!

First things first: packaging talk. Of course the actual product is more important, but one must not forget the psychological factor of what a beauty product can do to your self-esteem. Though the prices of the DermaSpa range are very affordable, the packaging suggests you’re having a mini spa treatment without having to cough up a lot of money. The blend of gold & white looks really chic, yet it stays true to the Dove heritage I grew up with. Job well done Dove!

The Goodness³ range is the first body care that combines omega oil & Cell-Moisturizers to make sure the skin is as hydrated as possible. The unique blend of the Silky Body Oil is said to transform dry skin in 3 ways: for even-looking, luminous skin, that feels velvety soft. Though this was specially created for dry skin, I feel that everyone is going to enjoy this product. It is very light in texture and sinks into the skin almost instantly while leaving a velvety finish. The lotion-esque oil is jam-packed with shimmer, creating the most beautiful glow on the skin that reflects the light so naturally.

Next up is the Summer Revived range with 2 spa-inspired body lotion that combine natural, subtle self tanners and Cell-Moisturizers. I used to be all over the Dove self tanners in my college years, so this was a lovely rediscovery. Self tanners can be tricky for fair skin types, so I appreciate the fact they created two versions; one for light-to-medium skin types and one for medium-to-dark skin so you can slowly build up your tan. The product sinks in pretty fast, but the finish is a little stickier than the oil mentioned above. I like that this version now comes in a squeeze tube instead of the shampoo-type of bottle I used to have. It makes applying with product-soaked hands a lot easier as well as using all of the product in the tube. Even though summer is now officially over, this is the perfect self tanner to prolong that sun kissed skin and keep it natural.

De gerevampte zelfbruinende body lotion klinkt echt wel goed! Inderdaad een veel betere verpakking.
