Dior Cosmopolite Fall Look

Fall might just be my favourite season when it comes to makeup. It’s usually a season packed with colours I love and look flattering on me, such as beige, earth browns and burgundy. Dior is taking a totally different direction this year with a colour palette that leaves room for experiments. I got sent a few products to try from the Cosmopolite collection and boy, what an experiment it has been. Comfort zones were broken out of and new limits were reached for sure. The resulting look is something quite avant-garde and really unlike me or what I would usually go for, yet the individual products can be perfectly worn on a day-to-day basis when paired up with other softer looking items.

One of the eye catchers in the Dior Cosmopolite collection is the Dior Addict Fluid Shadow, a super pigmented fluid with an intense shine I haven’t seen anywhere else. It can be worn both as an eye shadow or eye liner and is fast-drying as it clings onto the skin. I’m wearing Cosmic, a bright purple shade that would look amazing paired with brown eyes. I absolutely love the look of this, if only the shadow didn’t start to crack after a couple of hours. I don’t see this as a problem for the neutral colours in the collection, but for the bright colours like this one, it may come in handy to carry it around to do some touch-ups if you’re planning to rock this on a night out. The collection has a really nice selection of colours if purple isn’t your cup of tea.

I paired it with the dark Unique Rouge Dior lipstick, which in the end didn’t look as scary as I thought it would. It’s a very pretty vampy berry purple shade that matches the vernis in Cosmopolite perfectly. Dark lips are a bit of a scary road to take for me because of my pale skin and the fear of looking too goth, but this colour is just too pretty to let it sit there. I think I’m going to get some wear out of it for the upcoming Fall/Winter season. The only thing I’d recommend that I didn’t do here is using a lip liner to stop the lipstick from bleeding as it is quite moisturizing as well as help get a fully opaque lip. As for the Cosmopolite nail polish, I have a feeling this is quite a popular one, so you might want to get your hands on it fast.
