I might’ve squealed a little when I saw these beautiful dry shampoo cans at my local Kruidvat (for which I apologize to my fellow shoppers). In case you’ve been living under a rock: COLAB is a dry shampoo brand co-created by blogger/youtuber & model Ruth Crilly (A Model Recommends). The brand hasn’t been around that long but quickly built a loyal following and has received a couple of awards in the process. Besides being backed by one of the UK’s top beauty bloggers, there’s another reason COLAB Dry Shampoo skyrocketed to super stardom in no time: the amazing quick fix formula which I was excited to put to the test!
The range consists of dry shampoos in 7 different fragrances, an active dry shampoo for the gym and a voluminous dry shampoo. Kruidvat currently offers 3 fragrances and the active dry shampoo. I purchased the 3 available fragrances; Tropical, Fresh and Paradise. The first thing you notice is how bright and cute the packaging is! Those who’ve known COLAB from the start, know how much the concept has changed. I absolutely love the redesign! In case you already had your favourite fragrances:

INGREDIENTS: Butane, Isobutane, Propane, Alcohol Denat., Aluminium Starch Octenylsuccinate, Parfum (Fragrance), Limonene, Linalool.
How to use these? Just shake, hold the can 20cm away from dry hair and spray into roots. Massage through using the fingertips, brush and you’re good to go.
They absorb oil well without making the scalp feel dry and itchy. It might leave a little white residue when you spray on the same spot for too long or spray too close if you have dark hair, but for me this isn’t that much of an issue. Plus, this disappears once you brush it out. It makes your hair feel refreshed in an instant without much effort. *Important note: dry shampoos in general are made to fresh up your hair when you don’t have the time to wash. They are in no way meant to replace shampoo so I would strongly advise not to use them too often to protect your scalp. Using too much dry shampoo on a daily basis may dry out your scalp and cause hair loss in the long run.
I found they perform equally well, so it’s really up to you which fragrance you prefer. My personal favourite is the newly launched Paradise fragrance, especially in the summer time. Added bonus: the brand is completely cruelty free and vegan friendly. Overall I’m very happy with my purchase and I would definitely recommend you trying these as I think these are even better than Batiste. Have you tried any of these?
