Up to Amsterdam because We Like Fashion

Two weeks ago, WeLikeFashion.com invited a couple of Belgain bloggers to their store in Amsterdam. The day started off really early with a long trainride.

We left stormy Antwerp behind and traded it in for a Amsterdam. Unfortunately we didn’t find a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow..

Since the event started at 15h, we decided to head into town tourist style for some sightseeing and shopping. Luckily Paulien knew her way around so she was our guide for the day.

Finally arrived in sunny Amsterdam! Look how happy Kim and Sofie look (regardless of the sunglasses hiding their true state of being terribly tired).

First we went window shopping in department store De Bijenkorf, where I saw (one of) my dreambags, the ‘Mulberry Alexa’ for the first time IRL. I really wanted to take it home with me, but she wasn’t on sale. Damn you student budget!

We decided to go for something that was affordable: lunch :’) While ordering we noticed something funny. The personnel addressed us in English, even though we were speaking perfect Dutch. And it stayed that way during the rest of the day. How odd is that? I might throw in my Dutch accent next time..

After some shopping we decided to go to a pancake house and relax before leaving for the event.

Don’t let their appearance fool you, they tasted rather crappy.

After one hell of a bus ride, we finally arrived at the We Like Fashion store (van Baerlestraat 108). We started off by chatting a bit about the Belgian blogosphere, the We Like Fashion webshop and the latest edition of their e-magazine, which was devoted to fashion bloggers.

They also try to spread their wings internationally, by adding new pay methods to their site. Belgians can now also pay with Bancontact/Mister Cash. Germany, Denmark and Sweden will be next.
