Shoplog Regenttweet London

I still owed you a post on what I bought during the Regenttweet event in London, so here it is! As you can see, I only bought beautystuff (reasons mentioned in my previous post). My skin has gotten really difficult over the past year, so I needed to give my beauty closet a little update, well I’d say a miracle is more what I’m looking for. But anyway, here goes..

The first piece is a little plastic bag with 3 samples from REN, a organic skincare brand. This was a free goodie we received at Liberty, one of the stores that participated in the Regenttweet event. It contained a Moroccan Rose Otto bath oil, a Damask Rose body cream and a Moroccan Rose Otto body wash. Since they came in convenient sample sizes, I think I’m going to save these for when I’m going on a trip or something.

The second piece is the make-up bag The Organic Pharmacy gave me for winning one of the Twitter contests. To my surprise it was filled with lovely goodies from their Organic Glam make-up line too! I got a bronzer (Light Bronze), a lipstick (Dark Nude) and an eyeshadow palette (Nude Brown), which makes my prize worth about £110. Wow, thanks so much TOP!

About Organic Glam
“The Organic Pharmacy is dedicated to creating organic products free from toxins commonly found in cosmetics and the creation of Organic Glam is no exception. When you consider the average woman eats throughout her live 5 pounds (450g) of lipstick, using a natural and organic lip stick is important. But the Organic Pharmacy wanted to go one step further in creating a range that not only was free from artificial preservatives and fragrances but also uses mineral colours, herbal extracts and antioxidants to enhance the skin even more. The result – a range of glossy lipsticks, shimmering eye shadows, flattering blushes and flawless, ultra natural foundations that all work to make the most of your unique features and enhance your beauty.”

“”The bronzers are designed to create a healthy, sun kissed glow and they can be worn to give skin a warm radiance with or without the sun.” They are available in two different shades: Light Bronze or Golden Bronze. The Light Bronze I got is so light, I’d use it more as a highlighter, than as a bronzer. It gives off a nice golden shimmer, but it’s too light (even for my light skintone) to give a slightly tanned look.

“Rich creamy lipsticks in eight essential shades add the finishing touch to any look. Use alone or under lip gloss for an ultra glam look, infused with Shea Butter, Castor Oil, Green Tea, Grape, Lemon and Orange to protect and nourish whilst looking glam.” I love the color of the Dark Nude lipstick, it’s the perfect addition for my lipstick collection. It’s shimmery which makes it have the look of a lip gloss, but it stays longer and the color is not too dark. I used 3 layers for the picture.

“Each palette combines four essential eye shadows to create a wide range of looks. From barely there to ultra glam, each palette provides a matt all over colour, a deeper shading colour, a shimmery highlighter and a dark colour for around the eyes. Whether a natural day look or super glam night look each palette has the versatility you need with classic colours. ” I love nude palettes, but I’m not sure yet what to think of this one. I’ll let you know when I’ve tried a couple of looks with it.

I bought my first Topshop make-up item and also my first cream blush. This is the Topshop Cream Blush in color Neon Pink. I just thought the packaging was cute and Lisha helped me decide on the color. The bright red goes perfectly well with my light and blush-free skintone. The texture is quite hard, and therefore less easy to blend than the next item I bought..

..the Dixie Cream Blusher from Illamasqua. The moment I touch it, it becomes liquid, making it easy for me to blend it with my skin, giving it the look of a natural blush. The look I was actually looking for. I think I’m going to use this one A LOT! Sorry Topshop, Illamasqua wins this blush battle hands down.

Next up is the Moon Beam highlighter from Benefit. It gives off a nice white shimmer with a pink undertone, which is perfect to highlight certain areas (cheekbones, under the eyebrows, nose, etc) in a subtle way.

The last item you can expect a review of is the Soap&Glory Hocus Focus lotion. I’ve read a lot of great things about this product, so I’m dying to see what magic it can do for me. It’s said to minimize the pores and wrinkles, and takes care of uneven pigmentation. Let’s find out!

I’ve been on a shoppingtrip to Lille (France) last Saturday, so you can expect a shoplog of that too. And this time, I bought some clothes as well!

Die goodies die je gewonnen hebt zien er supermooi uit! Lucky you 🙂
