You may recognize this cute little cat. Before you is the infamous The Face Shop Mini Pet Fruits Hand Cream. Around for many years, this is one of the products that captivated the hearts of many, laying the roots of the global K-beauty craze we know today. The reason why is quite obvious, isn’t it?
Despite that I love its cute appearance, I’m glad K-beauty managed to shed its image of cute and gimmicky products over the years and prove it’s more than just that. In fact, I’m convinced its popularity helped show the cosmetic world ‘cute’ and ‘quality’ CAN actually go hand-in-hand, which resulted even the most prestigious brands to be a little more adventurous with their packaging. Thank god.
As far as the hand cream itself goes, I’ve been enjoying having it (#02 Sweet Fruits) on my desk. It’s almost identical to the peach hand cream from Tony Moly (another old school K-beauty staple) I reviewed earlier. The sweet peach scent reminded me instantly of that cream, and the way it performs too. The cream penetrates the skin quickly and leaves the skin silky smooth without any leftover residue. In other words, perfect to use in between tasks! If you have an issue with scents, I’d skip this one though.
