Spotlight: D.A.T.E.

Because it doesn’t always have to be about sky-high stiletto’s, I present to you my new sneakerlove… D.A.T.E.!

D.A.T.E.?

D.A.T.E. is the story of four Italian guys with a dream: creating their own sneakerbrand. In 2005 they took the leap and named it D.A.T.E., simply by using the acronym of their names: Damiano Innocenti, Alessandro Zanobini, Tommaso Santoni and Emiliano Paci. Even though the brand is a huge success in Italy, this success did not happen overnight. The first season was a flop, with less than 700 pairs sold. It was only when they presented their craftmanship at Pitti Immagine Uomo that they were starting to make a name for themselves. They sold 8.000 pairs in only 3 days!

Nowadays the brand sells 250.000 pairs a year in stores all over the world. Their passion, together with their growing professional skills contribute to creating a product with a high level of quality: the result of tireless design research and painstaking choosing and selection of materials, combined with obsessive attention to detail.

The campaign images in this post feature some of my favorite pairs of the AW collection. The Stone Multi Degradee (Bianco), Stone High Perforated (Bianco) Sport High Classic (Bianco) and my absolute favorite: Stone High Pyton (Bianco). The great thing about D.A.T.E. is the enormous variety of different models, colors and fabrics, and that a lot of the models are unisex, in case you’d like to borrow your bf’s sneakers…
