The weekend is me-time. Sleeping ’til noon and taking a looong relaxing bath to clear my head is what I enjoy the most. And with that comes some skin pampering! The new Kenzoki Sensual Bare Body Cream recently became part of my pampering ritual.
The packaging is everything you’d expect from a luxurious cream. The jar is milk-white with matte texture, while the lid has a glossy surface. I love the pink letters and the embossed Kenzo logo.
The 2 active ingredients; cupuacu butter and figs, have been reworked into a new formula. The cupuacu is a fruit from Brazil that is related to the cacao nuts. It’s a source of essential fatty acids to the skin because of it’s nourishing qualities and it maintains the lipid layer. The fig plant extract maintains the moisture-lipid balance so that the moisture remains constant and an optimal sense of comfort arises. Both active ingredients are combined with 100% natural vegetable rice water that nourishes and softens the skin.
The cream has an insane fragrance. It’s really subtle and relaxing and lasts for a couple of hours. The texture has the perfect creamy consistency without being too watery. Which is great because that makes it easier for the skin to absorb and for me to put my clothes on without worrying that I’d get it all over my clothes. After application my skin feels super soft and hydrated. Even the next morning my skin still had that silky soft and hydrated feeling.
The Sensual Bare Body Cream by Kenzoki did basically everything I’m looking for in a luxurious body cream; a nice subtle fragrance, blends easily with my skin and hydrates it, making it feel nice and soft. Like I said, it’s pure luxury and of course this won’t be for everybody. I have another recommendation for people on a budget and you can expect a full report on that soon!

NL: Nieuw in mijn beauty stash is de Sensual Bare Body Cream van Kenzo(ki). De witte verpakking met roze letters en rijstkorreltjes sprak mij meteen aan. De pot zelf straalt pure luxe uit; een matte melk-witte pot met een glossy deksel dat schuin is afgesneden. Een heel aparte vorm dus, maar eentje die wel heel mooi staat in de badkamer. Meteen na het openen van de pot wordt de kamer gevuld met een uiterst aangename zen-geur. Het is heel subtiel en vooral heel erg lekker!
De hoofdingrediënten bestaan uit capuacu boter, vijgen en plantaardig rijstwater, wat zich uit in een crème die de perfecte consistentie heeft; voedend, zacht en niet te dik. Handig als je niet te lang wil wachten om je kleren aan te trekken. De crème trekt dan ook heel snel in en maakt mijn huid zo zacht als die van een baby.
Voor mij is dit product dan ook een absolute winnaar! Hij is wel niet zo goedkoop, maar je kan er best wel een tijdje mee weg. Voor de mensen met een ietwat beperkter budget heb ik wel nog een andere aanrader, maar daarover lees je snel meer.
