I went to the store to get the Chanel Mimosa nail polish and I came back with Chanel Mimosa, Morning Rose and the Rouge Coco Shine Adventure lipstick. It’s funny how Chanel can cast its spell on you that makes you buy things. Everyone knows the quality of their nail polishes is not what it should be. They chip really fast, so you can only wear them about 3-4 days, 5 days tops. But I still buy them. How do they do that?
Personally for me, a nail polish doesn’t necessarily have to stick around for long. I like to switch colors almost every 3 days, so it really doesn’t matter. For people who can’t even keep them that long, I’d advise to keep your nails short, use the Rituals base coat and a top coat. I normally don’t wear a top coat because I’m lazy to put 5 layers on and the base coat already does a pretty good job by itself.
What really attracts me to the Chanel polishes is their unique color combinations. The Morning Rose I’m wearing now is a very soft pink combined with some tiny golden glitters in them. I haven’t been able to find the exact same mixture of colors anywhere else. And yes, if the polish has the Chanel logo on it, of course that helps too. Not that I would buy those Chanel cottons or tiny soaps though. I mean, really? Chanel cottons?
(You might notice some yellow from the Mimosa nail polish in the corners because like I said, I’m lazy and removing nail polish is one of the most annoying beauty rituals. I really hate it! It takes so long, the remover stinks and my fingernails always end up with cotton pieces sticking on top of them. Aaargh!)
Anyway, Chanel Morning Rose = love! –> buy, buy, buy! 😉
