New Rituals To Try This Season!

Because of my job it’s hard to be able to attend events like I used to, but when one of my favorite body care brands asks me if I’m interested to go and check out their novelties, I ain’t gonna say no. Especially not when that brand is Rituals, whose products I’ve been using and loving for years. This season the Dutch brand has given some of their most popular ranges a makeover. I don’t think they needed to, because the packaging looked great, but still the makeover paid off.

One of the ranges that got an entire new look is the popular Hammam range. You’ll still recognize them by the blue colored packaging, but the font we all know has been switched for one that’s a little more Oriental. The Hammam Hot Scrub now has a transparent pot (450 g – € 18,50) whereas the Hammam Body Mud has been reformulated with mineral Rhassoul clay to nourish the skin and remove dead skin cells (150 ml – € 10). If you’re not familiar with the range; this is one to try out when you feel the need to relax because of its calming ingredients like Eucalyptus. I haven’t tried this range yet but I got to take the Scrub home with me, which I’ll review as soon as I finish my current scrub from The Body Shop.

Door mijn job is het niet altijd even gemakkelijk om nog events bij te wonen zoals vroeger. Maar wanneer één van mijn favoriete body care merken mij vraagt of ik interesse heb om de nieuwigheden te komen bekijken, dan zeg ik daar heus geen nee tegen. Helemaal niet wanneer het om Rituals gaat, wiens producten ik al sinds jaar en dag gebruik en koester. Dit seizoen geeft het populaire Nederlandse merk enkele van hun collecties een make-over. Niet dat dat echt nodig was, maar het resultaat mag er zeker zijn.

Eén van die collecties is de Hammam collectie. Je kunt ze nog steeds herkennen aan de  bekende blauwe verpakking, als oogt het font nu wel Oosters. De Hammam Hot Scrub is nu verkrijgbaar in een nog grotere, transparante pot (450 g – € 18,50), terwijl de Hammam Body Mud een nieuwe formule kreeg met minerale Rhassoul klei om de huid te voeden en van dode huidcellen te ontdoen (150 ml – € 10). Mocht je nog niet niet bekend zijn met dit gamma; dit is er eentje die je moet proberen wanneer je nood hebt aan wat relaxatie dankzij zijn rustgevende ingrediënten als Eucalyptus. Ik heb hier zelf nog niets van geprobeerd, al komt daar snel verandering in want ik mocht de scrub mee naar huis nemen om te testen. Van zodra ik door mijn scrub van The Body Shop heen mag je je verwachten aan mijn uitgesproken mening.

Another range that got an update was the pink Ayurveda collection. I absolutely love this range with sweet almond oil and Indian roses, and I’m happy to tell you 3 more products have been added: the Ayurveda Scrub with micro grains of Multani clay (150 ml – € 10), the Shanti Shower Oil that transforms into a silky soft foam when in contact with water (200 ml – € 8,50) and the Chakra water, a hydrating Bed and Body Mist (like the Tao one I reviewed here) (50 ml – € 16,50). Also, the Himalaya Wisdom Salt Scrub now comes in a transparent pot that is even larger in size, so you’ll be able to enjoy your bath/shower time rituals together even longer. Can I haz errthing nao pliz?

Een ander gamma dat een update kreeg was het roze Ayurveda. Ik hou ontzettend veel van dit gamma met zijn zoete amandelolie en delicate Indische rozen, en ik ben dan ook heel blij te kunnen melden dat deze lijn wordt uitgebreid met maar liefst 3 producten: de Ayurveda Scrub met microkorrels van Multani klei (150 ml – € 10), de Shanti doucheolie die transformeert in een zijdezacht schuim wanneer in contact met water (200 ml – € 8,50) en het Chakra Water, een hydraterende Bed & Body Mist (50 ml – € 16,50). Verder komt de Himalaya Wisdom Salt Scrub nu ook in een transparante pot die bovendien veel groter is, zodat je nu nog langer samen van je tijd in bad/de douche kunt genieten. Can I haz errthing nao pliz?

That’s not all folks, Rituals is introducing a devine new limited edition summer range with white lotus and bergamot called ‘Flowers of India‘. Oh my, this collection had me at hello. The collection consists of 5 products that come in the most beautiful white packaging with the lotus flower printed on top; the Flower Shower shower foam (200 ml – € 8), the Summer Bliss shower oil (200 ml – € 8,50), the Lotus Shimmer body cream (200 ml – € 16), the Lotus Secret scented candle (290 g – € 17) and the Indian Blossom fragrance sticks (230 ml – € 23,50). I’ll be reviewing the beautiful Lotus Shimmer body cream that actually has a slight shimmer to it soon, but if you’re too curious to wait you can shop the collection as we speak (in stores and online).

En dat is nog niet alles! Rituals introduceert een goddelijke nieuwe limited edition collectie voor de zomer met witte lotus en bergamot genaamd ‘Flowers of India’. Ik was meteen verkocht aan de geur. De collectie bestaat uit 5 producten die elk een prachtige witte verpakking hebben met een lotusbloem erop; het Flower Shower doucheschuim (200 ml – € 8), de Summer Bliss doucheolie (200 ml – € 8,50), de Lotus Shimmer bodycrème (200 ml – € 16), de Lotus Secret geurkaars (290 g – € 17) en de Indian Blossom geurstokjes (230 ml – € 23,50). Ik ga de wondermooie Lotus Shimmer bodycrème (met subtiele shimmer) reviewen. Mocht je niet kunnen wachten; de collectie is nu al te koop (online en in de winkels).

Last but not least, the make-up department has experienced some changes as well. The Rituals mascara’s have been given a new formula that promises better quality, easy application without clumping and a flexible layer that covers well. All are paraben free and come in a spanking new packaging ft Egyptian flowers. Finally, 3 new mini nail polishes (blue – green – pink) have been introduced into the range which are totally adorable (€ 5).

Als laatste werd ook een deel van de make-up in een nieuw jasje gestoken. Zo kregen de Rituals mascara’s een nieuwe formule die betere kwaliteit, gemakkelijke applicatie zonder klonteren en een flexibele laag die goed bedekt belooft. Ze zijn allemaal vrij van parabenen en komen in een nagelnieuwe verpakking met Egyptische bloemen erop. Om af te sluiten kun je ook je verzameling mini nagellakjes gaan uitbreiden want er zijn 3 vrolijke nieuwe kleuren verkrijgbaar (blauw, groen & roze) (€ 5).
