The Neogen Code 9 Real Fresh Green Tea Foam comes in a liquid formula that transform into foam with the help of a built-in pump. This unique foaming cleanser immediately drew my attention because of it’s 2 compartments. The bottom compartment actually contains real fermented green tea leaves. Hello anti-oxidants! Green tea works miracles to battle inflammation, so those with acne-prone skin should definitely check into this.
As it turns out, that only the beginning. The entire side of the packaging is covered in ingredients which shows the formula jam-packed with natural extracts. These help gently remove impurities, brighten and hydrate the skin. Use alone, or for best results, use as the second step of your double cleansing, following an oil cleanser. Make your face wet with some water, pump one to two pumps and gently massage foam onto damp face. Rinse off with lukewarm water (and try to not get this into your eyes ‘cuz that hurts). Follow with the remaining steps of your skin care routine.
I love how easy it lathers up, so there’s no need to rub and irritate your skin. Stripping the skin is quite common with foam cleansers, but this one I don’t have any problems with. Afterwards my skin feels smooth and clean. If you’re into foam cleansers, I would recommend giving this a go, even though it might be difficult to find. You might have better luck finding the Neogen Dermalogy one, which is now also sold at Sephora US. Can’t wait to try that one next!
