During the press days in Antwerp, we also got a little sneek peek of the upcoming MAC collections. The first one was Surf Baby, with our own Hanne Gaby starring in the campaign. I’m not too fond of the packaging, it looks like toy make-up for kids. The things I’d recommend to get are the blush with the hibiscus flower, which gives a gorgeous peachy color with golden shimmers (too bad it’s only sprayed on top) and one of the pigment stacks. The Surf Baby collection is now available.
Review / Swatch Skinsheen Bronzer Stick: Gilty Bronze
MAC’s Senior Make-up Artist Elke Willemen was also present at the MAC stand during the PR days and she gave us the Skinsheen Bronzer Stick in Gilty Bronze to try out. She told us this stick can be used in various ways; on your cheekbones, eyes and even on your lips.
I was afraid it would be too dark for my skintone at first. As you can see on the left picture, the pigmentation of the creamy texture is quite strong. So what I did is rub it out, leaving a nice golden glow which will look amazing on a tanned skin.

Flighty (in store June 4)
I’m really curious about these Big Bounce shadows. They look so pretty, but are said to last only 15-20 min on Temptalia while they should last a couple of hours according to Senior Artist Elke Willemen, so I really want to test these and see how well they go on my eyes. It all depends on the greasiness of your eyelids I guess.
Fashion Flower (in store early July)
Very nice embossed details in this collection, but I’ll need to see more before I decide to make a purchase from this collection.
Semi-Precious (in store early July)
This is by far the collection I look forward to the most! The colors are lovely and the pigmentation is amazing! They kind of reminded me of the Eyes To Kill I saw at Armani (post coming up). Huge lemmings here, I better start saving up fast, because I really want to get my hands on some of the mineral powders. Definitely precious indeed!
Zien er allemaal heel leuke collecties uit, behalve die eerste (daar ben ik ook niet zo’n fan van). Jammer genoeg kon ik op de pr dagen alleen nog maar wat bekijken van de Surf Baby Collectie, want de semi-precious collectie ziet er geweldig uit!
Ik ben al mijn MAC-bons keihard aan het opsparen voor die Semi Precious oogschaduws! 🙂
Ik kijk het meest uit naar Fashion Flower en Semi-precious.
Ik dacht dat Fashion Flower al veel eerder zou uitkomen aangezien die collectie al voor Surf, Baby op de internationale MAC site stond te bewonderen en besteld kon worden..
Ik weet nu wie mijn collectie mag komen vervullen 😀
