Last week the long-awaited Semi-Precious collection hit the MAC counters. I hurried to my closest MAC store in Lille, that’s right, in France (!) to get my hands on the stuff I wanted. I got there by eleven, and one of the brushes was already sold out. I decided to not let the “limited edition” aspect get the best of me and just stick to 2 products I’d actually use instead of just buying them to look at and be too scared to use them because they are so beautiful. That might change if I step into another MAC counter one of these days and there are still some eyeshadows left. But I doubt that’ll happen, they’re just too pretty and probably sold out already.
The first thing I got is the Rose Quartz Mineralize Skinfinish.
In my opinion, multifunctional products are a good investment. The great thing about these mineralize skinfinish powders is that you can use them in 2 ways. You either take a big brush and use the whole powder for your face, giving it a nice lively glow or you can use the pink part as a blush and the marble core as a highlighter. Due to the fact that there is no sun in sight here in Belgium, this baby will do far better on my pale skin than a bronzer would, so my guess is that I’m going to use it a lot!
The second thing I got is the Gem of Roses Lipstick.
This lustre lipstick is a soft pink, which will make it easy to blend in with the color of my lips. Therefore it’s perfect to create a natural look for during the day. I love the color and these pics make me want to buy it all over again.
I also received the Mineral Mode eyeshadow during the UPR beautydays.
The marble effect of the eyeshadows make it fun to play with and create different looks with the different shades of color when using a thin brush. For the swatch I just used my finger over the whole area, what leaves a pinkish shimmer. It’s not a color I’d buy, but it’s one you can use for various looks since it’s so light.

Ik wil ook nog een MAC store in West-Vlaanderen, zou een stuk makkelijker zijn! Al ben ik nog nooit naar de MAC in Lille geweest… waar ligt de shop ongeveer? En zijn ze er een beetje klantvriendelijk?

Het is een MAC corner in de Printemps, die ligt op nog geen 10min wandelen van het station. Gohja, vond dat de verkoopster nogal opdringerig overkwam om meer te kopen, aangezien het een limited edition collectie was en ze van alles maar 4 stuks hadden (alsof ik dat niet wist), maar ze helpen u direct dusja eig viel het best wel mee.. Ik zou enkel naar daar gaan als ik zoal weet wat ik wil, maar voor advies zou ik toch eerder naar Gent gaan.
