M.A.C. Quite Cute

M.A.C. Cosmetics comes yet with another collection that is hard to resist for a ‘cuteness-lover’ like me. The Tokyo-inspired Quite Cute collection is filled with fun pastel colors that are perfect to give your spring-look the right ‘pop’!

This collection makes me think of my days in Tokyo, and how much I really miss it. Most of the girls there have a cute style, but in a way they’re all very unique. They mix and match to their hearts’ content and that is what makes them special. I doubt the average Belgian (bloggers and beauty addicts not included) would dare to go all the way on the Harajuku style, but there are still enough possibilies to create a subtle pop with pieces from this collection. For example go neutral with the eye make-up, but put the color accent on your lips or vice versa.

“CUTE!” The most fanciful, fun and flattering compliment a young, modern trendsetter could ever want! Our version is the girliest kind of international glam possible, a style ride that combines postage-stamp-sized puppies with pixie swizzle-stick fashion and butterfly kisses for cute boys and even cuter shoes! Cupcake icing colours, vintage romance, an ATM card with Hello Kitty on it – and a way of life that says “yes!” to everything adorable! Come on, get happy with the multi-culti cutie, from Tokyo to Toroto to Paris with Love! Pastel shades for Eye Quads, Lipstick, Plushglass and Nail Lacquer… And, due popular demand, we’re completely cute-ifying three favorite Lip Pencil shades from last season that will join the fun and frolic. Flash! You’ll ♥ the Mineralize Blush with the sweet heart baked right into it. If it shines, shimmers and pops it’s completely, contagiously, cute!

My favorites from this collection are the Ice Cream Cake Nail Lacquer,  the Playing Koi and Saint Germain Lipsticks, the Fashion Fanatic Lipglass, the In Synch Lip Pencil and the Giggly Mineralize Blush. Yep, I’m particularly loving the pinks from this collection.

What could’ve been better here is the packaging. Why not add drawings of manga figures or other typical Japanese characters on top like we’ve seen from the Disney collection? That would’ve added the little extra it needs (in my opinion). I do like the concept and I will definitely check it out tomorrow, but I don’t feel like rushing to the store to grab everything as much as I did when Cham Pale came out though.. What do you think about this collection?

The Quite Cute collection will be available as of April 2nd in all MAC locations.
