Although the Givenchy LE collections tend to be smaller than those of her LVMH sisters, they should definitely not be overlooked. The Givenchy Vinyl Collection they have released for Autumn – Winter 2015 is one of those treasures worth checking out when you’re at the luxury beauty counter. The Metallic Reflection palette with its shimmery rose-brown shades is simply to die for and the latest Le Rouge lipstick shades are always welcome in my collection. (Seriously though, check them out). Today I’ll review 3 products from the collection that have been kindly sent to me.

First up is this limited edition shade of Le Vernis Givenchy in Rouge Acajou °28, which can be worn together with the Le Rouge lipstick of the same name that is also part of the collection. It’s a pretty classic brown-red shade with a hint of burnt orange. Unlike what some of the photos may suggest, it’s not as bright but rather a darker type of autumn colour.

The quality of Le Vernis nail polishes from Givenchy is quite good and the colour lasted a few days on me without chipping even though my nails were pretty long (for my standard). If you’re looking for a classic red colour with an autumnal twist, you might want to have a look at this. Given the amount of compliments I got, I’d say this is worth a splurge.

You can use it as a mascara on its own or on top of your usual mascara to give it more body and an intense colour. Instead of bristles the wand is soft like that of a lip gloss and packed with a deep black polymere formula.

I understand the formula is quite unique and ground-breaking, but dear Givenchy, I really don’t understand how this product is to make my makeup look any better. I’m having enough trouble as it is to keep my curl and the weight of the formula is undoing all of my eyelash-curling efforts in a heartbeat. The difference is rather minimal and in my honest opinion, definitely not worth the money.

Blush Mémoire De Forme in Rose Délicat is my personal favourite out of the three and a product I would recommend to anyone looking for a fool-proof non-powder blush. I’ve been eyeing this gel-type formula since it came out last year and it exceeded my expectations.

The texture consists of 72% of water, making it easier to blend when you’ve packed on too much. Not like that’ll ever happen though, because no matter how much I’ve packed on, it always looks so natural! The formula is so light, you can build it up until you have reached the desired amount and if you do happen to make a mistake, it’s fixed in a matter of seconds by wiping it away or going over it with your foundation brush.

The colour itself is a soft old rose with a hint of brightness, creating the most natural flush on the cheeks. It’s as if you’ve just walked out into the cold winter air. The formula contains some shimmers too, but it translates them into a healthy looking dewy glow, rather than a discobal. I’m not sure it would work well on dark skin because it’s quite sheer, but on pale-to medium skin this looks great! It’s one of my favourite blushes that I got recently, can’t rave about this enough. The only thing I would perhaps change, is the packaging. It looks cute, but don’t lose the lid as it will get very messy. I would suggest using a cushion or net like the Stila watercolor blushes to make it more user-friendly.
