Givenchy Ange ou Démon Le Secret Elixir EDP

stylelab beauty blog fragrance review Givenchy Ange ou Demon le secret 3

This Winter I’ve covered myself in a veil of the sensual scent of Givenchy’s Ange ou Démon Le Secret Elixir eau de parfum. Our love story began a while ago when I received a mini sampler, you know the cute kind that looks like the miniature of the actual bottle (love to collect these). At the time, I was into it, but I didn’t fall head over heels for this fragrance. It wasn’t until I had emptied the sample I realized ‘dammit you’re so good’. What’s that saying? You don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone..

Not long after I received it to review like a gift from above. Even if I didn’t, I would’ve purchased it eventually. After all, I hadn’t had a decent evening fragrance in a while, and this deeper, richer and more sensual version of the original Ange ou Démon Le Secret had me hooked.

The composition is a floral with a bitter beginning and a wooden background of patchouli. It opens with freshness of Italian lemon, green tea and neroli. The heart is made of white flowers such as Sambac jasmine, orange blossom and bene lumbar frangipani flower. The base notes are vanilla, patchouli, cedar and white musk. I would classify this as a seductive fragrance, ideal for parties & dates. The bottle has a modern and sleek look, which refers to a gemstone. Very pretty.

Describing fragrances is a pretty hard thing to do and after all, a scent is such a personal thing. I can’t have you smell this through your screen unfortunately, but make sure you have a whiff at this next time you’re in the perfumery, because you too might fall in love. Even if that takes a while.

Givenchy Ange ou Démon Le Secret Elixir EDP is available at Ici Paris XL (BE/NL)
for € 61 (30 ml), € 86,5 (50 ml) and € 122 (100 ml).

Yeah, they should come up with a smell app 😉 I’ll try it next time I’m at Globus!

D’awww the bottle looks pretty! I can’t decide which one to get first among the Ange ou Demon series. Suggestion? 😀

I know, choosing a perfume is so difficult! I haven’t smelled them all, but I also really like Ange ou Demon Le Secret EDP.
