Essie ‘Cocktail Bling’ Winter Collection 2011

Essie’s first limited edition collection on the Belgian market is all about Cocktail Bling! The collection is inspired by gems and precious metals like rubees, sapphires and emeralds, designed to make your party-outfit complete!

Like any great accessory, jewelry makes a statement. So I say, the bigger the better! Whether you wear rings, bangles, pendants or brooches—size matters!” says Essie Weingarten, founder of essie cosmetics. “The same is true with color for Winter 2011—the bolder the better.”

Bangle Jangle: a lavender amethyst
Cocktail Bling: a precious pale gray jewel
Brooch The Subject: a creamy cashmere cameo
School Of Hard Rocks: a midnight malachite
Bobbing For Baubles: a deepest darkest sapphire
Size Matters: a blazing hot ruby red

What surprised me is that for a cocktail ‘bling’ collection, there isn’t any shimmer in any of the nail polishes. If you do want that extra sparkle, you can always add the ‘Let It Shine’ topcoat on top, like I did on top of the dark blue shade Bobbing for Baubles, which is also my favorite polish of this collection by the way. So major!

Bangle Jangle – Cocktail Bling

Brooch The Subject – School Of Hard Rocks

Bobbing For Baubles – Size Matters

The new Essie brush makes it so easy to paint nails, it feels like a dream. I used 2 layers for every color, but most of the time 1 should be sufficient. Another plus is that they stay perfect for a long period (even after one week) and all of these benefits made sure this brand now shares my number 1 spot of favorite nail polish brands, next to OPI. The only thing they need to work on is release more colors with unique compositions (shimmer, glitter, frost, etc).

The Essie Cocktail Bling winter collection is now available at Ici Paris XL and Di.
Price: € 10,99 per nail polish.

OMG! Uw nagels zijn zo mooi! I wish I could say the same! Ik moet ze trouwens nog eens lakken! Ik weet nog niet welke kleur, maar ik denk dat het School of Hard Rocks gaat worden 😀
