Beauty | Givenchy Croisière collection

This week I headed out to the LVMH HQ in Brussels to discover not one, but two collections by one of my favorite makeup brands; Givenchy! First up is Givenchy Croisière, a permanent collection inspired by cruises all-year-round.

The starting point of this collection is the question “why should we limit ourselves to only having a bronzed skin during summer?“. Artistic Director of Givenchy Makeup Nicolas Degennes was looking for a way to suggest the caress of the sun at any given time. He wanted to find textures, colors and light that would make the skin look like it’s on vacation throughout the year. And he succeeded alright!

Poudre Bonne Minne is said to be the first talc-free powder which creates a sunny, practically invisible and untouchable nude-effect. I was a bit disappointed the lightest version °01 Première Croisière isn’t available in Belgium, since this shade would’ve been perfect for fair skinned people like myself. But still, this product looks very appealing to use during summer when I have a tan. There are shimmers present, but nothing too obvious. The result looks transparent and light, in other words; perfect! Apply it with a Kabuki brush to create the best result.

The look of the product simply completes it. The packaging is an elegant, matte black and carries a small 4G Givenchy logo. The powder itself is shaped like embroidered cushions. Love it!

Poudre Bonne Minne °02 Beige Doré / °03 Ambre Croisière / °04 Extrême Croisière    € 47

Secondly, Givenchy offers 2 new shades of the Gloss Balms. The first shade is a natural nude shade and the second one is a discrete pink. The formula blends shea  butter and hyaluronic acid together, creating a nourishing and plumping lip product that keeps the lips nicely protected from the harmful effects of the sun. I have no experience with Givenchy lip glosses (also because I don’t use gloss that often anymore), but that subtle pink does look tempting..

Gloss Baume °1 Natural Croisière / °2 Pink Croisière   € 27

Last but not least, the Mister Radiant Body, which may as well be my personal favorite of the Croisière collection. This water-rich, transparent gel formula contains 3 kinds of spheres; dark brown, light brown with shimmers and white ones, that burst open when applied. The non-sticky gel gets absorbed fast, leaving the skin soft and tan. Better be quick though, the Body version is only available while stocks last! I’ve received a sample to try out so you might see it make a comeback soon!

Mister Radiant Body (limited edition) 100 ml   € 47 / Visage 30 ml   € 35

Givenchy is exclusively available at Ici Paris XL as of March 13th.
You can find it in the top right of the display as shown above.

So what do you think of the products? Anything in here for you?
