If you’re as obsessed with Korean cosmetics as I am or even just a teeny tiny bit curious about them and you’re heading to Spain for the summer, this post is for you! The popularity of K-Beauty is going through the roof as now more and more consumers are looking at East-Asia to see what’s on offer. And retailers have to follow suit. The U.S. got on the bandwagon really fast, but much to my surprise the hallyu (Korean wave) has now also hit the coast of Spain. In today’s post I’ll share with you a couple of places where you can find these Asian gems so you can start switching up your beauty routine.

Primor is a perfumery chain that can be found all over Spain. Aside from luxury brands like Dior & Estée Lauder they also carry various drugstore brands (Maybelline, Max Factor, ..). As for the Korean Cosmetics, they started a partnership with Wangbii Beauty Queen to open little Korean cosmetics corners in their stores with bits and bobs of popular brands like Tony Moly, Skin79, Missha, Etude House, Holika Holika, Skin79, SkinFood, Nature Republic, Lioele, … Prior only started carrying Korean cosmetics since last year, so I’m not sure if this concept is rolled out to all of their stores yet. I did find them in all Primor perfumeries we went to in Barcelona last year and the general rule of thumb seemed to be the bigger the store, the bigger the range of products. Find stores and have a look at the selection here.

Arenal is another perfumery chain that is quite similar to Primor and is located in the North-west of Spain. They offer a selection of products from Etude House, Skin79, Tony Moly, The Face Shop, Nature Republic, Lioele, It’s Skin and Holika Holika.

Madrid

Though Primor and Arsenal are more accessible, a boutique like Wangbii is where you’ll find both the selection and advice you need for your journey into K-Beauty. This cute multibrand store offers products from a wide spectrum of high street brands like SkinFood, Missha, It’s Skin, Nature Republic, Tony Moly and Etude House (C/Fuencarral, 176).

Skin79 is a monobrand store probably most known for their huge range of BB creams, thé Korean product that started it all. There’s a cream for every skin problem to fulfill the needs of all customers. The store marks the first step of a Korean brand in Europe. (C/ Hermosilla, 82. Local 62, CC Mercado de Torrijos).

Barcelona

Much like Wangbii, MiiN Barcelona is a K-Beauty lover’s wet dream bundled up in a cosy little boutique. With brands on offer like 3CE, Etude House, Holika Holika, Innisfree, IOPE, It’s Skin, Leaders, Missha, SkinFood, Tony Moly & The Face Shop, MiiN pretty much covers every popular high street brand out there. The boutique has literally just opened its doors and is a must visit if you have plans to hit Barça soon (Pau Claris, 110).

Other: Parsimonia a natural cosmetics store featuring Skin79, The Skin Lounge, Mi-In, … (C/ Laforja 89, Sarriá – Sant Gervasí).

Other cities

Korean & Beauty specialty store with brands like Missha, Narüko, Lioele, Baviphat, Tony Moly, Holika Holika, The Face Shop, Skin79, Etude House, It’s Skin, NPW, Mijin Cosmetics, (Calle Pedro María Ric 5-7, Zaragoza.

Skin Thinks  beauty store with a small selection of BB cream from Missha and Skin79 (c/ José Zorrilla, 37, Segovia).

As for my little Primor haul (first photo), you can expect a hands-on review soon as well as a major K-beauty haul from my trip to Japan!

Do you know of any shops that sell Korean (or Japanese) cosmetics?
Let me know in the comments.
