We’re so used to playing around with different types of eye shadow and nail polishes, but why not give colored mascara a go? The comeback of this 80’s trend was first seen last year on the Stella McCartney AW12 runway in a bright blue colored version, which also happened to be my favorite!
I used to sport a whole lot of dark blue mascara back in my high school days, so it wasn’t too hard for me to jump back on the bandwagon. If only finding a blue mascara was that easy.. the only one I could find last year (yes I went on my own blue mascara quest the next day) that came close to the one I was looking for was this budget beauty from 2B.
The 2B mascara in Mega China Blue makes my lashes nice and thick, plus they add a little length as well. If you want them to be extra blue, first paint downwards (so the upper half is also covered) and then continue painting the lashes like you’d normally do. You can correct any mistakes with a q-tip soaked in make-up remover afterwards. The only thing I’m missing here is a nice curl, so an eyelash curler is more of a necessity here. Other than that I’m a happy camper that has been sporting this one at least once a week since last Fall. What can I say? I luvz it!

you know I’m a fan! ik vind het alleen jammer dat de mascara’s die je in winkels vindt nooit zo intens qua kleur zijn als die op de Stella show, maar daar hadden ze ook niet echt met mascara gewerkt dacht ik!

Ja idd. Ik kon het volgende terugvinden: “makeup maven Pat McGrath swept CoverGirl LashBlast 24 Hour Mascara in Very Black through each girl’s lashes (top and bottom) before following up with several coats of an electric cerulean blue pigmented gel mascara.” Maarja, waar vind je dat? :’-)
Misschien valt het wel zo op te lossen: Ik weet niet of dat nu nog bestaat maar vroeger had je van die mascara’s met 2 zijdes waar je eerst een witte laag moest leggen (dat zogezegd voor volume en lente zorgt) en daarna een zwarte kant. Misschien als je je wimpers dus eerst wit kunt maken en dan met blauw erover gaan dat het dan wel lukt? 🙂
Zo mooi! Geef je ogen echt een vleugje kleur zonder al te veel op te vallen. Staat je heel mooi!

Vroeger vroeg ik me altijd af wie dat kocht, maar onlangs ben ik toch ook al gaan twijfelen om het eens te proberen. 🙂

Ik heb dat echt met zoveel dingen die ik in winkels zie die uitverkocht zijn want op straat in w-vl zie ik bijna nooit iemand met felle lipstick of gekke nagellakkleurtjes. Wss hoarders die dat nooit dragen ofzo 😀

Oh waauw, jij staat er goed mee! Meestal vind ik blauwe mascara vreselijk (hello 80s) maar bij jou is het echt mooi.
