Yesterday, the Belgian blogosphere and press were united at the Bestseller offices in Antwerp for the press presentation of the Tiany Kirilove collection by Vero Moda. I have no idea how she did it, but besides her job as a tv presenter and fashion journalist for Glam*it, Weekend Knack, Flair, Het Nieuwsblad Magazine and her own online magazine/blog Belmodo.tv, she also found the time to travel back and forth to Denmark and design her own limited edition collection for Vero Moda. Now that is what I call a passion for fashion!
This was probably the most emotional press conference ever. Everyone was so excited about the project she had been working on for over a year, so there were a lot of people present to show her their support. The moment she walked into the crowded room, everyone was amazed with her bright appearance. The pink blazer and orange shirt with baby collar just blew me away and I could hear ‘oohs’, ‘aahs’ and ‘wants’ coming from all directions. The first outfit was an instant hit!
She started the presentation by thanking us a gazillion times for coming and thanked Vero Moda for this great opportunity she had been given. Then the atmosphere got really heavy. I noticed the happiness, joy and pride in her eyes that slowly turned a little watery. When she told us we should keep going and persue our dreams got me all mellow too. I seriously was an inch away from tears strolling down my face. That I’m tired from being up late studying has also something to do with me going all emo-style for the slightest thing, but I found that moment to be really special and I’ll definitely keep those inspirational words in mind.
We also got to see a little video of the whole process, from brainstorming to the actual fashion shoot, which you can also see below. I think she looks gorgeous in the campaign, totally working it like a true model!
And here’s the result; 3 gorgeous looks which are a nice mix of simple, timeless basics, bright colors and various prints, and more importantly; they represent her completely! I have to say I was a bit worried how much influence a big shot like Vero Moda was going to have, and that she maybe would lose her fashion identity. But in the end she really got to be creative and go for a style that is totally her, which is absolutely amazing, so a big thumbs up for Vero Moda here as well!
My favorites? Euhhm.. everything? :,-) I had a really hard time choosing 3, but in the end I picked the blazer, the cardigan and the little blue dress. What are yours?
Me together with Bie m’as-tu vu, miss Kiril♥ve herself and Brunette Blogging.
Getting a sugar rush before the start of the presentation.
Oh, and let’s not forget about the cutest little vips I’ve ever seen, Tiany’s gorgeous little girls Yéléna and Eloise. I’m not exaggerating when I say every little movement these cuties made, the room went ‘aaaaaww’! And I was one of them, cuteness to the max! Maybe Tiany’s next step should be designing a collection of children’s clothing, with her daughters as models for the campaign? Anyway, Vero Moda is very happy about this collaboration and there’s already a second collection in the making. To be continued!
