Review | L’ Oréal Studio Secrets Universal Lip Glow

A while ago I received this incredibly cute lipstick from L’ Oréal. Well, the Universal Lip Glow might look like a lipstick, but in fact it’s more like a tinted lip balm. I haven’t come accross anything like it before. The stick looks like a transparent pink candy bullet and it has a subtle fruity scent.

The unique character of this lipstick lies in the fact that its color varies depending on your natural lip color. As you can see in the pic below it’s really sheer on it’s own, practically invisible. When worn on the lips, it enhances their color just a little bit, making it still look natural, but with a nice and healthy shine. You can make it look a little more intense by adding more layers, but it’ll never have the same effect as a ‘normal’ lipstick does. Like I said before, it’s more of a tinted lip balm, also because of its hydrating qualities.

For me this is a go to product for when you’re not really into lip glosses (too sticky) or lipsticks (too intense). Or when you’re having dry lips and you want to add some color without putting those chapped lips in the picture. This is more of a lip balm with extra’s and definitely something I would buy.

The L’Oréal Universal Lip Glow is now available for € 11, 99 at your local L’ Oréal distributor (Kruidvat, Di, Ici Paris XL, Delhaize…)

This product was offered to me by a brand/ PR company.

Thanks for sharing, Ste! I find this kind of “color change depending on skin chemistry” claim really interesting, though I haven’t tried anything like that yet! The tip looks interesting too. I might just have to check it out 🙂
