New Look store opening

Recently, British retailer New Look opened its fourth store in Brussels. 400 Guests were invited for the opening of the New Look flagship store on the 22nd of March, and I was one of them! The invite looked very promising: walking diner, new collection, surprises and animations, but most important of all: shopping at -50%! Whoot! Since New Look is shoe heaven to me, I died to go and visit their shoe gallery to score some gorgeous pairs. It’s a good thing, I came eartly, because the waiting line turned out to be pretty long. What do you expect, with 400 people? Cindy (from Glamourblog) and me were the first two invitees to enter the store and we immediately saw that it was gooood!

Upon entering the store, we were welcomed by the hostesses in cute vintage American-style pin-up outfits with candy and drinks. As we were headed to the escalator to shoe heaven, we noticed the big candy counter. I suddenly felt like a kid again! We decided we needed to focus on our mission first; score those shoes! I eventually took a bag of candy home with me, but most of it was already gone by the time…

There were also beautytreatments on the menu for those who were interested: make-up sessions with Make Up Forever, get your nails done by OPI, get your hair done by Toni & Guy and a new set of fake eyelashes. I took the opportunity to get myself a fresh new nail color from OPI; Big Hair, Big Nails from the OPI Texas Collection. Love it, it goes perfectly with my new Francis & Pi scarf.

Now onto the store itself: it has 2 floors, containing clothing for both men and women, shoes, lingerie and accessories. Definitely a plus for this store is that they also have a corner for the limited edition pieces!

I used pictures of the official photographer because he got to see the store before we did. The store was way to crowded during the night. People were leaping over each other to grab the stuff they wanted, they couln’t even wait 2 seconds so I could take my pictures. Instead, they jumped in front of it, bumped into me, took the stuff I was trying (I just hung it there for one second because my hands were full).. it was crazy! It was even worse than going shopping on the first day of the sales! There’s nothing VIP about that. But nevertheless, I had a great night and I scored some lovely stuff! Thank you New Look and Tan-dem!

This is what I got: a limited edition blouse, black stockings (not in the picture), a handbag, a snakeskin clutch, 2 pairs of shoes and a free OPI nail polish.
