Christmas is only a few days away and you still have no clue what to buy for your loved ones? That sounds all too familiar, but it shouldn’t be that hard. In fact, the holidays are the perfect time to treat your friends and family as well as yourself with some lovely beauty goodies. Some brands come up with entirely new limited edition products while others choose to give their bestsellers a Holiday makeover.

One of those brands is Kiehl’s, whose tradition to collaborate with artists on the packaging of their award winning products has been a fact for years. With this years Kiehl’s x Peter Max Holiday 2015 collection, it’s no different. Now is the perfect time to stock up on those famous Kiehl’s staples as they look extra pretty.

This years edition is a collaboration with Peter Max, a German-born American graphic artist known for his psychedelic shapes and colour palettes. The result is stunning packaging that bursts of colour and I can’t stop looking at it and admire all of its details. I used to be in art school but never pursued it, yet I can find myself be so fascinated by other people’s work. For once, I’m sad I didn’t get them in their original boxes as these are true collectors items. Luckily I got these yummy cookies instead! Too bad they don’t sell those.

The collection contains some of Kiehl’s classics, such as the Crème de Corps (Whipped), Ultra Facial Cream, Calendula Toner, a set of lip balms and a new collection of fragranced Richly Hydrating hand creams with lavender, coriander & grapefruit. Kiehl’s provided me with a sample of the Creme de Corps, an exquisite rich moisturizing cream I’m all too familiar with. If you suffer from dry skin or even flaky skin, you have to give this (or one of its varieties) one a try at least once in your life. (My personal favourite from the range is the Whipped version with Milk & Honey.) I’m always amazed about how fast it gets absorbed into the skin, while leaving it silky smooth. A great winter staple!

One I’ve been looking forward to try, is the Ultra Facial Cream. This lightweight ultra-moisturizing cream has gathered quite a loyal following since its release, so I’m curious to see what it will do for my skin. I have yet to try this out for myself since I’m currently trying to work my way through 2 other moisturizing creams, but I thought I’d give you a heads up about the new collaboration in advance since its limited availability. I will report back with a full review once I’ve thoroughly tested it myself.
