One year after the launch of Dior Poison Girl Eau de Parfum, Dior returns with a new addition to the new generation of Poison; Dior Poison Girl Eau de Toilette. Both are the first iterations of Poison since the original scent from 1985 which was a staple in my mum’s cabinet when I was little.
Both versions of Poison Girl are creations of François Demachy and although they are part of the same pillar, they are totally different. Poison Girl Eau de Toilette is a refreshed version of the original, dedicated to the same type of femininity, yet edgier and more provocative. The new composition contains a duo of icy-cool, juicy oranges (Sicilian Sweet Orange & Calabrian Bitter Orange), sensual flowers and notes of Vanilla and Tonka Bean.
Dior Poison Girl EDT comes in 50 ml, 100 ml sizes, and for the first time straight from get-go – in a 30 ml size. With the accessible, gourmand notes and the message of finding empowerment through ownership of one’s sexuality and seductiveness, Poison Girl aims to reach a newer & younger audience. Its fragrance, design and message is certainly something that speaks to me and I’ve been wearing this every single day. One to check out next time you hit the perfumery.
