A busy lifestyle, an overbooked schedule, not enough sleep… I put my skin through a lot and it shows. As I’m approaching my 30s my skin takes longer to recover, with breakouts, tired and dull looking complexion that lacks radiance as a result. To help my skin get back its vitality, I’ve mainly been relying on 2 new moisturizers from Givenchy; one for during the day and one for during the night.
Givenchy L’Intemporel Blossom Radiance Reviver Cream
The day cream is part of the Givenchy L’Intemporel Blossom skincare collection, a luxurious range of illuminating skincare to counter the effects of fatigue and first signs of aging caused by life’s daily stress. Thanks to the Blossom Glow Complex, the skin is infused with energy and hydration. It consists of
- Angelica extract: helps the skin maintain hydration to better preserve it from exterior aggressors
- Pink berries: help minimize the visible effects of aging and improve the firmness and resilience of the skin
- Vitamin C derivative: helps preserve the skin’s glow
The cream feels very light and forms a silicone-like barrier on top of the skin. Enriched with light-reflective micro-pigments, this anti-fatigue cream goes on slightly pink and makes the complexion look a tad brighter. Although it is aimed at all skin types, I wouldn’t rely on its hydrating qualities as a stand-alone product, especially not now that it’s getting colder. I use a honey propolis ampoule before the Radiance Reviver Cream and that seems to give me the right amount of hydration. It does make a beautiful base for makeup though.

Givenchy L’Intemporel Global Youth All-Soft Night Cream
At night I switch to the Givenchy L’Intemporel Global Youth All-Soft Night Cream. This velvety-soft nourishing cream has a whipped foam texture which is significantly thicker than the day cream. However, it goes on really smoothly and my skin absorbs this in no time. Powered by a ‘Timeless Blend Complex’, the cream contains evening primrose, a flower that only opens at nightfall, which echoes the lavish cream’s overnight power:
- Vitamin E derivative: anti-oxidant, increases self-protection of the skin
- R-Sensitive: empowers the cells to battle against free radicals and stimulates the synthesis of collagenfibres to make the skin fuller
- Hyaluronic acid with low molecular weight: for deep hydration and increased firmness
- Encapsulated polyphenols: for maximum effectiveness
I love a good night cream that is as nourishing as this one, but doesn’t feel heavy or greasy on the skin. When I wake up the next morning, my face feels nicely hydrated and plain simply looks better.
Ingredients: Aqua (water), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glycerin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Pentylene Glycol, Thermus Thermophillus Ferment, Isostearyl Hydroxystearate, Isotridecyl Isononanoate, Polymethyl Methacrylate, Dimethicone, Hydrogenated Coco-Glycerides, Steareth-21, Glyceryl Stearate, Phenoxyethanol, Cetearyl Glucoside, Sodium Polyacrylate, Caprylyl Glycol, Parfum (fragrance), Cetyl Palmitate, Cocoglycerides, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/Beheneth-25 Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Sodium Hyaluronate, Xanthan Gum, Butylene Glycol, Disodium EDTA, BHT, Sodium Tocopheryl Phosphate, T-Butyl Alcohol, Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Salicylate, Limonene, Hydroxycitronellal, Potassium Sorbet, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Extract, Geraniol, Linalool, Carbomer, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Root Extract, Citric Acid, Tocopherol, CI 14700 (RED 4), CI 19140 (YELLOW 5).
Although I didn’t experience any issues with these products, in fact I we got along just fine, I still prefer products with less fragrance-related ingredients in them. You can always spray on some Givenchy perfume later y’know? Especially when you’re putting down this amount of money, you’re supposed to put nothing but the finest ingredients on your skin. If however you don’t have a problem with fragrance in your skin care and looking to treat yourself, by all means..
