Fashion | H&M Conscious Collection Spring 2012

I’m so glad H&M is continuing the conscious initiative, which is in my opinion one of their best collections of the year. And how! The 2012 collection offers an exclusive range of red-carpet looks, all made from more sustainable materials such as organic cotton and hemp as well as recycled polyester. And were not talking boring little black dresses, but great cuts in the most amazing colors! Don’t get me wrong, I have a couple of LBD’s myself but when you’re going to a ball or some other occasion where you dress up; everyone’s wearing a LBD. Where’s the fun in that? This range offers a nice & fresh alternative without compromising on glamour.

My favorites? The pleated lemon mini dress with cut-out back and flirty pleated skirt (first pic) and the purple printed top with floaty cream maxi skirt (pic 2).

The collection will be available from April 12 in around 100 H&M stores worldwide, as well as selected looks on-line.

But wait, that is not all! H&M would like to offer sustainable spring style for everyone and that is why they wanted to also span other store concepts such as Divided, Women, Men and Kids with the Conscious collections.

Women’s items include 100% organic cotton tunics, smock tops and sundresses in pastels and checks; 100% Tencel tie waist khaki shorts; and a fitted tailored jacket made from recycled polyester. For Divided, the floral tops and printed T-shirts are made from 100% recycled polyester, while shorts are made from recycled cotton.

Are you ready to get your conscious glam on?

Love it! Loving the bright colours and the clothes are pretty dramatic in a way!

That’s one of the reasons why I like Spring, finally the colors are back! (ok ok, the extra degrees help a lot as well 🙂 )

Already pinned the entire collection, I’m loving it! Especially your second favorite with the original skirt and the cream maxi dress with dramatic ruffles. Can’t figure out an occasion to wear that last one though 😀
