Carnaby street is one of my favourite places to explore in London as it is bustling with energy and the offering of shops changes all the time. During my last visit I was very surprised to stumble upon the Birchbox London pop up store which had just opened!
Like many stores on Carnaby Street, the store’s lay-out is rather small to handle a lot of traffic at once but it has a very warm and welcoming interior and very friendly staff. You can purchase a full-size selection of their Top 100 bestselling products which includes both leading and discovery brands.
WHAT IS BIRCHBOX?
For those who are not familiar with Birchbox: Birchbox is a NewYork City-based beauty box subscription service set up by two beauty lovers in 2010 who were frustrated with the typical way of beauty shopping. With all of the variety out there and new launches dropping every week, how was it possible for customers to navigate all of the options and find the right products for them without going bankrupt in the process?
Birchbox made the process a lot easier by creating a monthly personalized beauty box with 5 products at a reasonable price. If you love a particular product, you can always buy the full size on their site.
HOW TO CURATE YOUR OWN BOX:
The part of the store that I was most excited about however is the ‘Build Your Own Birchbox’ station which lets you curate your own box. You just grab a beautiful marble and rose gold box, a product sheet with some information about all of the products and pick 5 beauty treats of your choice for £ 15. There is a total of 15 products to choose from that are split into 5 categories (2 makeup, 2 skin/body care and 1 hair care) with 3 products in each. They change the products every few weeks, so there’s always something new to discover.

The Birchbox Pop Up Store is definitely worth a visit if you’re heading to London this month and are looking to find some beauty treasures on a budget or if you want to surprise someone with a personal curated box.
