3 Suisses is one of those mail order catalog companies that always seem to know the right designers to get a hold of to design a capsule collection for them. This season is no different. They knew Alexandre Vauthier, who is fascinated by the sublimation of the female shape, was perfect for the job. He arrived in Paris when he was only 20 years old , where he worked for the greatest designers. In 2008 he started his own label and has been on the top of haute couture ever since.
The Alexandre Vauthier for 3 Suisses collection is simply devine. It has futuristic allures with its broad shoulders and structured silhouettes, which create the look of a powerful and fierce woman. I find it to have some kind of a daring, Lady Gaga -ish feel. Well, except for the fact that it’s perfectly wearable. Just the way I like it!
