Ad | Sunny Side Up

Now that summer’s in full force it’s the perfect time to introduce you to some of my favorite sunglasses! After all, they have come a long way since they were ‘just’ a means to protect the eyes. They’ve grown out to be true status symbols that can give any outfit a whole different appeal. I practically never leave the house without ’em. So which styles are totally rocking my boat?

First up are the half-tinted shades as seen on the ever-fashionable Olsen twins. I love just how the darker part holds all of the mystery while the transparent part serves as a tease. Only a couple more millimeters and one could be able to see the eyes. Very intriguing! You can find similar styles with gradient glass here.

Next up is my newly-found favorite, the semi rimless shades with the Ray Ban Clubmaster right on top of my wish list! This gorgeous blend of the renowned wayfarer and aviator really takes the best of both worlds. And it’ll look fab on your boyfriend too. Other semi rimless models can be found here.

After my Spektre post I should come as no surprise that the mirrored shades made the list. This is the latest hype amongst bloggers and I’m totally raving over them too. Secretly I want them in every color. You can find similar styles here.

I have to admit I wasn’t to keen on the Prada Baroque sunnies when they first appeared. But the more I saw them in editorials and blogs (check out my fellow Belgian fashion darlings Insomnia, Shark Attack and Fashionata rocking them), the more I felt myself being drawn to the extravagant ornamental frame. You love ’em or you hate ’em. Would you wear this kind of style?

And last but not least, one of my old-time favorites the Ray Ban Wayfarer. Will it éver go out of style? I doubt it! This is the pair of shades ANYONE should have in their accessory cabinet. It has that je-ne-sais-quoi cool vibe all over it and it looks good on everyone. I recently bought an authentic pair in black myself and I’m so happy with it!
