NOTD: M.A.C. Soirée

One of my lemmings of the M.A.C. Cham Pale collection was this beauty; the limited edition Soirée nail lacquer. Since the collections are released a bit earlier in the States, the U.S. beauty blogs have more time to convince me to buy more. And that is exactly what happened. Originally, I only had eyes for the Caviar Dreams Eyeshadow Quad, but thanks to my American collegues *yes, I’m pointing at you, Temptalia!*, my wishlist got a whole lot longer by the time the collection came out in Belgium.

The actual color was really hard to capture on camera. The second picture (with flash) is the closest to the actual color I could get. It’s sort of a warm bronze color with a golden reflection when it meets light.  It’s really glamorous to wear for when you’re going out. It’s one of those colors that look better on darker skintones though. That’s why I’m saving this one for summer, when I’m nicely tanned. 🙂

Soirée is actually the first nail lacquer I got from M.A.C. and I’m very satisfied with it. Nice packaging (love the soft, rubbery lid), great quality (it doesn’t chip as easily as for example Chanel), and a reasonable price for the amount you get. I don’t know if this is particular for M.A.C. nail lacquers or if it’s just because of the glittery color, but it’s not that easy to take it off. Or is it just me because I hate taking nail polish off? Still, I definitely plan on getting some more!
