A’Pieu x Rilakkuma Air Fit Cushion Blusher

One glance at the A’Pieu x Rilakkuma Air Fit Cushion Blushers immediately says it all: these are simply too cute to resist! If you’re a fan of cushion foundations, you’ll need to see these..

There are 5 shades to collect in total and I will be showing you 3 of them today. They come in cheap looking plastic packaging (not shown here) with some Korean on them. This is pretty typical for budget Asian beauty brands, but I really wish they would swap it for a pretty and more eco-friendly cardboard box. That aside, the packaging of the cushion cases themselves looks great. Definitely smaller than the average cushion foundation, yet still a little bulky and sturdy.

On the inside, they look like any other cushion foundation and contain a mirror ‘the hood’ for touchups on-the-go, a mini Rilakkuma applicator which fits 2 fingers and the airlock tray which holds the actual cushion product. Whatever you do, make sure to always close this properly to prevent the product from drying out! Like with most cushion foundations, it’s possible to buy refills for this  but they are rather hard to come by online unfortunately.

These are the colours I got: VL 01, PK 01 and CR 02. They’re so bright and colorful, just looking at them makes me smile!

VL01 is a pinkish lavender shade that comes in the blue compact design ft. Korilakkuma who is pinching Rilakkuma’s cheeks. This type of blush colour is not that common here, but you’ll find it everywhere in Asia. The reason for that is because it has a brightening function and gives the skin a youthful and cute appearance. I didn’t have anything like it in my collection, so this was worth a try. This shade looks best if you have fair skin.

PK01 is a sweet pink and comes in the pink case ft. Rilakkuma, Korilakkuma and Kiiroitori listening to the radio. It’s a natural looking pink that looks good on most skin tones.

CR02 is a bright coral and comes in the yellow case which features Rilakkuma sleeping while Korilakkuma is planning a prank. This is the deepest shade and is therefore also suitable for medium skin tones.

As you can probably tell from the swatches; these can be quite pigmented if you want them to. Don’t carelessly dab the applicator in there or you’ll be left with a lot more product than you bargained for. However, the texture is quite lightweight and watery, which makes them so incredibly easy to blend. The result is a natural looking flush of colour on the cheeks with a slight dewy finish which I absolutely love! They last for a couple of hours and are easy to touch up without them becoming cakey or patchy. If you have oily skin, you might want to set them using a powder though.

Overall I’m happy I purchased these. Cute packaging, great colour selection, easy to work with, very natural looking and decent longevity.. what more do you need? They’re a bit difficult to get a hold of, but you might still find them online in case you’re interested.

  • Too Belgista

I am going to seoul for a couple days in May and I would loooove your input on what I should get as products/brands – I am already looking forward for COSrx, Too Cool for School and A’PIEU but whatelse? xx

    • First of all let me just say ; lucky you! I went there last year and it was amazeballs! I’d love to help you, but I literally don’t know where to start since there’s so much to discuss. Can you give me a little more info about your skin type and what you’re interested in so I can point you in the right direction? 🙂

  • Really cute colours, indeed! And the packaging, kawaiii!

P.S. I second you on the idea of a paper/cardboard packaging instead of plastic. It would be easier to recycle or upcycle, as I’m sure there would be plenty of things to do with a kawaii image card. 🙂
